House of Hermskii {HOH}

I have been watching CG pretty closely of late and got complaints about a player named TooHi so I decided to look in on him myself. The show he gets the MEAT treatment often meaning he gets accused of being a cheater when it appears he is just that good. As near as I can tell, he is not cheating and the chat logs show he never starts anything but isn't afraid to respond when attacked verbally first.

Here is the deal. Record him cheating and I'll ban him but I have watched and he is just really good. I would guess he's me but I don't have that much time to play. My armor is rusty too. Beat him or leave him but don't accuse somebody of anything unless you can prove it. Ask me to watch a player if you suspect something but luckily we are all good enough here to have been called cheaters at some point. Report to me when others claim cheating is going on. I'll watch the player and review the logs and make the final call. Thanks all!

Herm, no offense but unless you have used cheats you really don't know what you are looking to see. I spent a little time with the MHM guys (among several other admin groups like HoF) showing them how to admin and giving trusted players an old version of a bot that's only good offline. To a person the lightbulb goes off shortly after running it. "So THATS what I'm looking at" is a common response. One guy at HoF messaged me it was like learning to drive. You can explain things all day long in drivers ed class but 5 minutes behind the wheel shows you way more.

If you have a recurring problem, slam a demorec on the server. I know you are not much on anticheats but you ought to peek in on this if someone really took the time to contact you. I have lots of private stuff too if you want to run something server side to check people. I'll tell you the same thing I told Schlong: You are *not* going to like what you see. Cheating is a MUCH greater problem than anyone thinks. (Just ask the new admins running ACE)

I have a list of names/IP's a mile long.
Although he's probably scared off by now or back to using an alias.

We have a Full report about using cheats from a member here who actually loaded one and tried it out on several servers with the admin's knowledge of it.
It was a very informative report.

BUT, what was noted also is that when using cheats in Redeemer Arena, it doesn't do the cheater much good IF at all.

Dude, I'd remove that link. No good comes from posting that.

Cheats are extremely helpful in deemer arena. Running a radar lets me know exactly where everyone is at all times. Just having that would make me unbeatable even at my skill level.

Plus, I've played against this guy and he's not all that good.
He may know a map or two but that's about it.
And I've also seen Killer_Klownz embarrass this guy and I know Klownz
doesn't cheat.
TooHi is probably an old timer or just a regular using an alias.

While everything seemed normal to me at first about this player, other information has been brought to me that makes me need to take an even closer look. Herm I have no record of this IP in any of my old logs from anywhere. I even did a * search for the last range.

Closest IP I have is 76.107.96.12...belonged to I).I. (Death Inc)
But this is going back a few years.

Interesting indeed then. Nobody has this person on their radar. I hear he plays like an old regular would. I have not played him but did get owned by ~_~ a few times tonight. He reminds me of KB or Viruz. He just grabs the best spot first and starts hookin the bombs. All is fair in love and redeemer war. I played the most I've played in years today which equals about 10 rounds. Hard to play when I suck and I know I'm much better than this. My timing is all off.

I watched him the other day and he wasn't no. 1 he was in 3rd place most of the game then he climbed to no. 2 position after some time.

I'll repeat myself...I doubt he's all that good.
He may know a map or two which gives him an advantage.
Plus the people complaining are probably not all that good, so the
advantage joe will dominate.
