I certainly had fun and it ain't your "same old redeemer" either.

Give it a "shot" It's like cat & mouse, only with nuclear missiles. Perch, watch, launch, then hide - at least that's a start. It IS TENSE and nerve wracking but that's why it's so fun! Some players like to just run around spraying constantly but if you catch MEAT and he's feeling charitable, he'll show you a few helpful hints. Oh and BTW, Hook, if you read Gopo's post on HUTP, I was helping him test the new Deemers.

You are so right about that my Fuzzy Balled friend. But it's funny to see those of less skill come in and start spraying...as if they're playing regular redeemer on a small map. The SniperDeemer is a little different. The maps I use are large and they are made for camping and/or running and gunning. But the thing is once you start firing people will see you...it's like shooting off a flare saying "here I am"..!!! It's fun though and it seems like everyone likes it. In fact it's so much fun and different my regular Redeemer is getting less played...lol

Looks like MEAT has invented a new gametype, it's neither Redeemer Arena nor Sniper Arena, it's a whole different game (Sniper Fusion maybe?). You can no longer "hide 'n' guide" since there are no guided missiles, and you can't "spray 'n' pray" since the missiles are so darn fast there's a higher chance to suicide your own butt, plus looks like the blast radius is smaller than before.
To me this is more tactical than a standard Redeemer Arena, you have to think like a sniper here: move with caution, camp, look around, use your scope, check the roofs, etc.
So far I've found only one minor issue: sometimes the scope is stuck at 1.3x or so and even if you click on your AltFire button you can't zoom up to the max (8.3x). Not sure if there's a relation, but it seems to happen when there's a wall, door, building close enough to you and your FOV is not totally clear.
Apart from this glitch, the mod is very good.

I'm hoping gopo takes note because he's the creator of his mod. I just gave him the idea and he ran with it. Also, if gopo is listening, one other player mentioned something about not being able to extend his scope. (that's what she said) So maybe there is a flaw but more then likely it deals with locale.
But overall I've had nothing but good reviews. The uniqueness is a new challenge that people crave. Gopostal is da man !!! I for one hopes he never leaves.

Apart from this glitch, the mod is very good. As MEAT said, I don't think this is a "glitch" either. Same thing happens on sniper rifles I believe. I has to do with local like MEAT said and the distance in the view. You can't zoom to the max. when he distance is too close. Or - the zoom amount depends on how close you are to the subject I believe.

SniperDeemer Terminology
Scope a Dope
Not part of the UT sniper vocabulary that I recall but one that I will continue to use.

6 weeks and running strong...!!! 7 maps out of 10 are played with SniperDeemer. It's the next best thing next to sliced bread. If you're not playing you're not getting better.
