How to Capture UT Screenshots

- Launch Unreal Tournament
- While in-game, press your F9 key
- The game may freeze/lag for a second and you'll probably notice the "Precaching" word "broadcasted" on your screen
- Exit from UT
- Go into your UnrealTournament\System folder
- Search for a file named SShotXXXX.bmp (where XXXX is a growing number)
- Feel free to open and edit it with MS-Paint of another image editor of your choice.

NOTE: I'm not 100% sure, but I think there's a limit in the number of screenshots you can store in the UT System folder, and it should be 256 images. Please consider this, otherwise your images can be overwritten.

How to Upload an Attachment

- Click on Post a reply
- Scroll the page till you find the Upload attachment field
- Click on the Browse button (located in the Filename field)
- [Optional] write a comment to your file in the File comment field
- Click on Add the file
- Wait till the upload process is completed
- [Optional] hope that the page doesn't take forever to upload...
- Have fun

@Hermskii: what's the current max allowed size for each attached file?

My Flashlight/Searchlight is not Working

- Run UT
- Hit the ESC key
- A menu bar will appear across the top of the screen
- Click on Options
- From there click on the Settings tab
- Now select the Video tab
- Check if the Dynamic Lighting option is enabled

UMODs not Working

ok, Umod setup is hard if you don't know what you're doing... So here's a list:

1) Go to Folder Options (If you can't find that, I can't help you)
2) File Types tab
3) New file type
4) Where it says "file extension", put UMOD in
5) OK
6) Find UMOD in the list
7) Advanced Options
8] double click "Open" in the list
9) browse for the setup.exe in your unrealtournament/system/ directory
10) it should now "c:\unrealtournament\system\setup.exe" or something like that, depending on where you "installed" it.
11) add the following test to the end: " install %0"
12) it should now look like this: "c:\unrealtournament\system\setup.exe install %0"
13) press ok to all open dialog boxes
14) open your UMODs
WARNING: I have not tested this method yet so I can't vouch for it. Use at your own risk!

Why Should I Use Redirection?

You only need to use redirection if your server runs custom files i.e. maps, mods or mutators which do not come with the standard game. UT CompreZ is a tool to speed up and eaze up the compression of custom maps and other custom Unreal Tournament files.

Note: I do currently use CompressALot_v1.1 to compress UT files. The only problem is you can't decompress UZ files.

Monster Damage Adjustments

Real quickly "corroded" is the bio (goop) gun, "shot" is the enforcer, and "exploded" is the alt flak ball and certain rockets (among others). Hope this starts to clear things up for you.

The Giant Gasbags are also immune to the "exploded" damage, which includes the Shock Rifle's AltFire.

I can't Dodge. What is Dodging?

- Run UT
- Hit the ESC key
- A menu bar will appear across the top of the screen
- Click on Options
- From there click on the Settings tab
- Now select the Game tab
- Check if the Dodging option is enabled

For starters: in order to perform a dodge, you have to quickly double-tap on your movement keys. A dodge is nothing but a somersault or flip.

If you'd like to see yourself dodging, open your UT system console and type:
behindview 1
This command will enable the 3rdPerson view mode. To go back to the default mode just type:
behindview 0
