GG dying at MRS

Post by Killer Klownz » Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:50 pm

Is it Klownz or are more and more players not offering up a simple "GG" at the end of a map?? The simplicity of politeness seems to be going the way of the Ford Pinto . . .

They also forgot how to say "hi" when joining the server... That's probably the reason why MEAT has added ServerAds on his server. Bots are more polite at times. Sad but true.

It these damn kids these days. They suck. I always GG peeps. I actually got to play on CG for a game today. It wasn't looking good for me at first but I came back at the end and won by several frags. I won't mention the person I victomized because I'm polite like that. It was fun though! I was just there to test a change I made on CG today which will be described in a different thread. I did GG the player I beat today too and then I left feeling all powerful and all-mighty and stuff because I won my first game on my own server in about a year! LOL.

I pretty much call it as it is so I'm not opposed to using the phrase "gg" but I am more inclined to say "Fun Stuff".
Because for me the phrase "gg" is usually/typically misused.
For example those that say it/type it, to them it's usually just a automatic response.
"The game is over so let me say "gg"...regardless of the outcome".
I don't want that...I want a true/emotional repsonse:
"wow MEAT that was a gg".
"you suck MEAT for winning".

And another thing, if you do in fact win the game don't say "gg" first.
You won, wait for someone to give you the congratulatory "gg" before you respond.
If we're going to be polite about this at least be politically correct.

When playing against Mahatma in the past, if he started running away with the game in hand I'd start spamming "GG" once he got up to about 20 frags knowing he'd win in the next 15 seconds. LOL. True story!

My automatic responses to a game consists of "gg" (that was fun) and "lol" (you didn't deserve to win, camper/sprayer/looper)

Of course, being both a cow and a noob means that alot of players consider me to be a bot with a limited ability to adapt.
I've been ignored by dueling players...

I usually say "GG" or "FUN".
To me they both mean the same thing - I thought it was a Great Game or it was very FUN.
And - I mean it!
If I am congratulating a winning player (or any player), i usually will do a "NG playername" ie: NG MEAT or NG FuzzBall. :P
It could be anything though - not limited to the above!

"gg" has become a substitute for the "lol" phrase...

- Are you sad? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you happy? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you satisfied? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you hungry? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you bored? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you pissed? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you sleepy? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you a winner? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you a loser? Say "lol" or "gg"
- Are you a naab? Say "lol" or "gg"

Usually I'm not much around in this part of the forum (which I will from now on).
I smelled the word ''naab'' somewhere.

Are you a stupid cow? ''lol''

Speaking of "GG".
Riddle me this Batman....

Why is it that the guy that wins by 20+ points is always saying "GG" first?
First off it wasn't a good game for anyone. The winner was obviously playing
against newbies who were clueless to spawn points and/or the map.
Why would the winner of such a game say "GG" first?

And how about this...why would someone say "GG" to someone else that
only played half or less than half of the game? I don't understand it when I/others
enter a game with 2 mins left and the guy who wins after 20 mins says "GG".
"GG" to who...why? I just got here...and why are you say "GG" first anyway?

And saying it's a habit or you're just being polite is stupid.
And don't say "I always say "GG"...what does that mean anyway?

Because Klownz was being polite . . . .
