Name Game...

Post by Hermskii » Mon Sep 07, 2009 5:26 pm

So I looked in to see who was on the servers a moment ago and I find somebody with a name that just doesn't "feel" right to me. Now it doesn't have any vulgar name in it and it doesn't come out and insult you per-say but it still just rubs me wrong. One of those names that make me think somebody just needs some attention.

I have already decided to nuke the player but I will mention this here first just so you all can have your own opinion and can share it with me.

The player's name is "Convicted Rapist"

Of everything that anybody can choose out there, this was the best this person could do. I have heard plenty lately about people who were molested in their youth especially this poor girl in California who was a sex toy to somebody for for 18 years. In the end, I just can't let this type of name slide. Yes maybe he isn't one. Yes, maybe his is one and served his time.

Luckily, if a convicted rapist moved in next to me I would have the right to be very suspect of him. I could take extra measures to ensure he never gets near me or my family and yes I could and would most likely move if this convicted rapist didn't move. All of that said, I will happily go along with my favorite right of the moment which is right to ban any player for any reason. Bye fella!
~Peace~

Anyone who uses that kind of names is just a silly player.
I agree with what you did Herm

Nuking because of a name does happen...but I'd rather see you nuke someone because of their
behavior and language they use during the game.
Then again it's your server and I am somewhat of a target for the general public.
Plus if you did nuke because of language toward me you'd lose half your clan...

Face it, you do. :)

MHM may be a "group" but take some people take it more seriously.
So you have a group, and a clan within that group.

I'll bet each of you one at a time that there is not a clan here. If you win I'll ban myself. If I win I'll ban you. We'll have a daily contest. The bans will begin the day of the first debate. Everyone here will know was right based on who returns the next day to have another debate about whether any clan exist here. I know I'm ready so who wants to debate this with me first? I'll post the results here each day until I lose and get banned.

I'll take that wager.

Webster's defines "clan" as:

–noun
1. a group of families or households, as among the Scottish Highlanders, the heads of which claim descent from a common ancestor: the Mackenzie clan.
2. a group of people of common descent; family: Our whole clan got together for Thanksgiving.
3. a group of people, as a clique, set, society, or party, esp. as united by some common trait, characteristic, or interest: a clan of actors and directors.

You can define MHM any better than number 3? See you on Friday Herm. BSEG
