Music files also?

Correct Hook.

Music with this problem is:

Spacemarines.umx
Utemple.umx
Warlord.umx
Unreal4.umx
Spire.umx
Mountain.umx
spinner.u (not a music file but gave me heeps of trouble before)
sky.utx (a texture)
SGTech1.utx (texture)

That is actually about all of them from me. I checked and listed all the files I have several versions of on my redirect server right now. These were them. I seem to think skinner was a problem too but maybe getting it confused with spinner. Each of them gave me tons of trouble for sure.

Sorry K. I started trying to do it and it turns out to be as much a pain in the butt as I remember it. I'd do it but it will take too long and as you know I'm too old to do this for you. So, here is what you do:

Double click the file so it downloads to you.
Save it to your desktop.
Copy that copy to your desktop twice renaming it each time like this
Once in all caps
Again in all lower case
Rename the original to use ProperUTNamingConvention
Add number 1 at end of the file name for the 1st one
Add number 2 at end of second one
Add number 3 at end of third one
Copy all three back up to the redirect server.
Once there, delete the original file or over-write it if it ask you.
Then rename each of the 3 you just uploaded only by removing the number at the end of the file name.
Now, you should have 3 files all with the same name in the same place at the same time which is not supposed to be possible on a computer but this does work. You should now have:

SKY.utx.uz
sky.utx.uz
Sky.utx.uz

Do this to all of the files I had listed earlier in this thread.

Yes, this process sucks hard but it works. It took me a long time to remember and type up these instructions. It will take you longer to do it to each of the files I listed but I guarantee you'll never forget how to fix this problem when your done and now everyone else will know how to fix this problem too. I think it doesn't look for the code so much as making sure the file size is the same. I have never tested it down to that level. I had forgotten all about this old topic.

Herm it's a problem with UT and redirected files. In your game the engine "sees" everything as lower case:
HermMod
HERMMOD
HeRmMoD
are all "seen" as hermmod by the engine when it loads stuff. The engine however must match the entire file name EXACTLY (case included) when looking for it on a redirect.
HermMod
HERMMOD
HeRmMoD
are all distinct files, and each are considered different on a redirect.
