Re: Next Map
I can't run the map cause it needs the DoorsSnd.uax package, you put the DoorsAnc.uax one by accident I guess.-HellFire- wrote: I think the file contains everything you'll need.
If it doesn't then reply please and I'll add it.
Yes please, stop going off-topic on this thread, it's annoying. There are sticky tutorials for UunrealEd and if you still need help use private messages.-HellFire- wrote:Maybe use another topic for this?

Re: Next Map
-Hellfire- please repackage the original package the link goes to so this doesn't happen to the others too. I suspect you already fixed it anyways!

Re: Next Map
a bit of cubism in ancient maps usually is ok, its the techy ones you gotta be careful about, because of their status of such modernised building and structural architecture they have.
Older things generally are rather cubic *Trims are usually the things that hides the cubism in ancients, and of course a good lighting set* Obviously i have told you this before but its just a good reminder to always be reminded of whilst your doing these type of maps.
Anyway it definately isnt looking too bad anyways.

Re: Next Map
Maybe you mean in earlier/older Maps here?!?!EA_Elemental wrote:Older things generally are rather cubic
I generally see older buildings (in real life) Less cubic than new buildings, etc.
Palaces and Capitals with Domes, Arches and such.
Tunnels, Caves, Teepees and Huts.
Cathedrals and Shrines.
Heck, even the Earth is round!

Re: Next Map
yes but if you take the real structure of them apart you will find mostly cubic blocks holding them together, most ancient builds are generally made by alot of cubic things e.g. wood beams but made less cubic by their offsets and other general scenery

Re: Next Map
That sounds exactly like what we do when we build ANY map, new or old style.EA_Elemental wrote:yes but if you take the real structure of them apart you will find mostly cubic blocks holding them together, most ancient builds are generally made by alot of cubic things e.g. wood beams but made less cubic by their offsets and other general scenery
We use shapes to make even rounded objects.
But, I understand what you are saying!
