I´m with Herm on this. Andromeda is a really good map, it has a great combination of graphics, environments, amount and types of monsters, BT part (without the annoying death if you miss one block), weapons, and of course the best music in a map in all UT (not only track by track, but the music is perfectly fitted with the action taking place in the map).Hermskii wrote:While I still regard Derdak2rot as the best MH map maker ever, I still feel that NR2000's Andromeda is the pound for pound best MH map ever made. It´s not the shapes of the rooms that make a good map. Even with cubic rooms if you are an artist you can create a great ambiance with other elements, like lightiing, sound effects, music, decoration. If you succeed with those elements you can transport the player into the dimension you are trying to create, and he woudln´t even notice if your room is cubic or conic or whatever. I think Andromeda has all these elements and that´s why it gotta be one of the best MH maps ever.
