{MHMIII} and {MHMIV} BANNED Players

Post by *POTS* » Sat May 22, 2010 12:39 am

extreme_gunner_8974

This player has been banned for a couple of days on MHMIII.
Reason: voting for maps, either idling the whole freaking time or, even worse, rushing to the end of a map when clearly told not to do so, just to leave on purpose a few seconds after.
Sorry, I don't like smarttpants. Have a nice weekend somewhere else.

Just in case that player is reading this thread, he's already been unbanned.
Seems like he's been looking for my head on other MH servers in the meanwhile...

So you caved in and unbanned him??? Tell me this isn't so. Unban players because they apologized and said they would change or unban them all at the end of the year and give them a new chance. Don't unban them because they are mad at you.

Well I actually unbanned him, but then people told me he's been looking for me on other servers and he was mad at me or something, might have to reconsider that ban. He was a naab anyway. :|

[Edit]
He's gone for good now.

-(GRV)>$alex$< AKA -(BTF)>$alex$^ AKA <Rt1/6>$alex$*^^ AKA ()mG.$alex$^ AKA >>//BTF//<<$alex$^ AKA ()mG.$kilerbee_2$^

Ban period: forever
Reasons: spam, advertising, fakenicking, harassing players/members/VIPs 24/7, doesn't speak English at all, doesn't listen even if you speak in French, etc. etc. etc.

Eviter le laming, ne pas faire de publicite, ni de recrutement!

The reason why I haven't banned this 10 years old French punk kid before is because he's using dynamic IPs, and I cannot ban the whole France. Here are some of them:

82.252.192.249
82.248.159.30
82.254.198.139
82.254.90.39
82.250.121.132
82.249.239.157
82.64.23.250

Also you cannot ban using Nexgen unless you're on the server with the offender, but maybe I've finally found a work-around to stop him. Let me know whether it works or not.

I banned him about 2 days ago and when he tried to connect he couldn't join at all.
So I think it worked on KB at least.

I was on the server and (GRV)>$alex$< was playing on the server as well. He was asking about if he could be in the {MHM} clan. I tried to explain to him about it is not a clan but a good group of people on the forum and directed him to visit the forum. Like you said before, he does not speak English (but I can't fault the guy and I can't speak French. The only French words I know are French fries, pie ala mode, French toast, and the most popular phrase in France, according to history books is, I surrender. :o )

Do we have any French members here? Sorry, not meant to offend, just to laugh.

Anyway, the kid was persistent.

That's the problem!

[Edit]
Hmm looks like my work-around worked:

Code: Select all

Login request for ^_^>$alex^$
IP       = 82.253.153.50
Login denied. Reason: Kicked/banned from the server.
There's no need for editing the UT.ini then. Good!

Pots to a great extent it will depend on his persistence level as to whether the nexgen ban will be enough. If it becomes a problem again, I'll let you know a couple of other ways to deal with it.

If he still won't relent, I'll get with you. Let him on server. I'll take it from there.

I removed this player from the banlist:

extreme_gunner_8974

He found me on the dU server a while ago and publicly apologized, so I thought it was no longer necessary to keep him banned.

That's the way to do it! If they are truly sorry, they should be allowed back.

I know it is not listed but I just wanted to express whom I feel should be banned.... It happened on Fuzz_ball's server, so I guess it does not count....

I normally don't like to ban players unless they keep pushing those buttons. This idiot keeps doing it. The guy's name is kTo|frag. He kept shooting me, killing me and knocking me off my area when I had advised him him to stop shooting me. Only if I had the kick/ban player option on fuzz_ball's server. That would have been the first person I would have banned/kicked.

I do not care about the score... for some of those who might think that, it is just the non stop sthooting of me when it injures me and kills me... Only if it happened on MHIII, after the 3rd time of asking him, if not the 2nd time asking not to shoot me...bang, a banned player..........wooooosaaaaaaa woooooosaaaaaa breath in.... breath out..... ok, go back and play before work.

Does not count? DOES NOT COUNT????

Yeah, David, let me know as soon as that stuff happens.
I've never seen that player before and was probably a fake ID anyhow.
There is a kickvote on the mapvote menu but since you are one of the good guys and play often, I'll give you the BAN HAMMER next time I see you!
Use it in good health.
Sorry some naab ruined things for you.
I don't tolerate that s#!t at all!!!!!!!

Well, looking at my logs, this guy was Kick Voting every player (annoying but not completely harmful) but I saw no other complaints about him.

However, I added his name in UT-Server-Monitor's Player Monitor tab and saw him at a CTF server where he racked up the points at an incredible rate. He had 70 frags in seconds while at least 7 others on map were around 30-40.

I suspected an aim-bot. In a nutshell, aim-bots move your crosshairs and automatically shoot at whatever & whomever is nearby. It can be turned on & off at will, which could explain why more players at FBF didn't have the same experience as David had.

Anyhow, if this player wants to discuss it with me, he can email me.
