So, you meant that the Weapon Itself is not a "sprayer" weapon - it is the USER OF the weapon that is or is not a "sprayer".

To me "spraying" is a correlation between map size, bots and real people playing.
And spraying isn't necessary a bad thing but more of a instinctive, inexperienced
and less skillful technique...normally preformed by newer players.
Unless the map calls for it or one has mastered the art of "spray".
Personally I'm an advocate of bot count to map size ratios plus bringing a bit
of fairness to the smaller maps by adding spawn protection.
But don't get me wrong...spraying has been around since UT99 started.
And smaller stock maps, skill levels and bot counts pretty much dictated the
use of a one dimensional technique back then.
Where as I've done my best to help UT99/Redeemer evolve beyond spraying
by offering different individual game setups.
So for example your "Orange" deemer would play differently on a larger map
and with less bots.

I am currently trying to iron out some problems with the server.
I may have to wipe it out clean and rebuild the server - lot of issues that I inherited on this server I am running for another person.
It has been in my plan that after that is Fixed, I will then tweak the server and the bots more, on a map by map basis.

Strategically and Clueless.
And only a few of us (Klownz being one of the best) know what we're doing.

Strategical and Clueless Spraying - pretty close to what I (mentally) would call it also.
I call it "Strategic" Firing and "Mindless" Firing I guess, but with one more in there that is Close to Mindless - "Fish" Firing, (or Find or Hunt firing also) where you "Fish" for hidden players!
With some redeemer mods you can also hear a report when you even slightly hit a player.
A "clink" sound.

One thing that I must note here though - and I have only played with Klownz 2 or 3 brief times, as he never would play very long when I came in and usually was hiding somewhere more distant in the maps I recall.
I think that You are far better than he - just judging by those brief encounters anyway.
Not saying I am anywhere near the player that either one of you are - that is just my observation from the 2 or 3 times I played with you and Klownz in the same game.

I can Barely remember that time but it appears to me we are playing on {MRS}.
That looks like it is one of the first times, if not THE first time I played that map and also with the MEAT-Deemer too.
FUN weapon the MEAT-Deemer! - I should Play it more when I get the {CLD} server fixed and have more time to try it out.
The map is DM-Darkness?!?!
I had just DL'd it and was sorting out that map, checking it out and looking around as I played, and also deciding as to weather I wanted to put it on my servers or not also I believe.
LOL - Looks like one of my "GOOD" days "playing", for sure! Ahem! LOL

I gotta admit, I keep a few Prize Wins myself also, but only rare prized wins. (not all of them)
I Only have a few screen shots of some wins I had over players that I know usually play much better than I, normally.
I haven't added to it for quite some time - just wanted a couple to remember them is all. LOL

Yeah, mine is only a 15gb LOL
I really never did keep screenies of my wins back years ago.
I never have been real concerned about winning, especially now days as you could see in KK's pic - but in THAT game I was more concerned about the map and checking it out rather than concentrating on playing as you can probably tell by my score in that pic.
I did take only a handful of pics of "Special" wins is all from more Recent times - I MAY have about between 4 to 8 pics (I'd have to look) that I kept, Just to show that I did.

Some {CLD} News... (yep, Back on Topic!)
I will be Wiping {CLD} clean and RE-Installing that server soon!
That should clear up the issues on that server.
I believe that the owner of the server uploaded a lot of mismatch or incorrect files a while back, so I am putting it all back to Stock from Square one and setting it up correctly.
This will probably take a few days for sure.

FYI...
I will be Wiping {CLD} CROSSBONES Lucifur's Den server Clean and RE-Installing that server soon!
This should clear up the problematic issues on that server.
I believe that a lot of mismatch or incorrect files were uploaded to the server quite a while back, so I am putting it all back to Stock from Square one and setting it up correctly.
This MAY take a few days to get it back to the way it is now - but without the problems.

I am Planning to do this RE-Install this coming weekend - probably Friday night, 7/2/2010!
I hope to get MOST of it done Friday night so that we can play on Saturday night and also on Sunday.

I think I fixed {CLD} now - without re-installing the whole server.
As I suspected, it was the textures! - The "STOCK" textures! (that weren't stock)
This is what happens when we mess with things and geniuses "re-do" and make those so-called "replacement" texture sets that are SUPPOSED to be Better? than the original stock textures!
See here S3TC and Hi-Res Replacement Textures, Etc. DON'T!!!
I replaced almost all the STOCK textures and viola, all the maps I tried last night worked.
Maps that didn't work before now, DO work now!

I will keep testing maps tonight (On GAME NIGHT!!!) and replace the last few textures I didn't have time for last night.
I hope that is all I need to do.

Then, I can get back to adding more New, COOL, Interesting and FUN maps!

Am I the Only UT99 player that plays just for the FUN of Playing?
After those other players left, MEAT and I played a few more maps.
I even had FUN trying to shoot down MEAT's missiles as he guided them at me.
Like skeet shooting! - Fun Target Practice!
Problem I was having is that I couldn't get my missiles to explode very well!
BUT - I still LOVED playing - No matter what!

And that ( !!! ) player wasn't SilentBob -
I have played with BOTH SB and !!! at the same time on a number of occasions.
Also, I used to win over !!! quite a bit - he has been playing constantly and has improved a lot over the past few months.
Last night he was doing very well. (Unless SB was impersonating him?)
!!! started out pretty newb-ish and pretty easy to win a month or so ago.
But I was impressed with his skill at redeemer last night - he did very well!

As far as the problems go on {CLD} ...
I still had problems loading a Couple of the maps that I tested, but MOST of the maps load in correctly now.
Now, I just have to narrow in on these last stubborn few maps and find out what is missing or mis-matched or what is wrong with them.
But, things are working a LOT better now on {CLD}!

You paraphrased virtually what I said...
I know SB and how he plays and am also Well Aware about his aliases - Very Well Aware.
We play UT a lot together and also converse quite a bit privately - I probably know him as well as anybody if not even better than most.
I know some things that most everyone doesn't know about him. (that will remain that way also as he wishes)
Like I ALSO SAID - it MAY have been him, but if it was, he was using another players name that plays CLD and CRW almost daily.
And, he was acting and chatting just like the real !!!
Also, as I said, I have played BOTH SB and !!! at the Same time.
If SB can play AS 2 good players at the SAME TIME - he is better than ALL of us! LOL

I actually said (if you would read it) that he was playing Very Well last night.
I NEVER said that I was beating him at all - quite the opposite!!!
I said that I Used to beat him a lot when he first started playing Redeemer (Not that he just started playing UT) and that he has been getting better and better over the past month or so - 2 months maybe? - as he has been playing a lot of redeemer! (and good for him)
And NO - you completely Missed what I said about Playing for FUN!
A lot of us play to win and only winning is fun for those players.
I play for FUN - period!
If I win - I win and so much the better but it isn't real important to me.
That is why I asked the question in the first line.
If more of us played for the fun of it, and not just to win, there would be less players (if any) leaving when you come into a server.

Back on Topic - Now for some CLD news...

As far as the problems go on {CLD} ...
I still had problems loading a Couple of the maps that I tested, but MOST of the maps load in correctly now.
Now, I just have to narrow in on these last stubborn few maps and find out what is missing or mis-matched or what is wrong with them.
But, things are working a LOT better now on {CLD}, and will KEEP Improving!

PS: I added a LOT of Maps to {CLD} Last night also!

NOT only that, we now have the Capability and the tedious task of Tweaking the Game Types and also the Maps for things like Gravity per map, Bot Skill per map, How many Bots per map, etc., etc., for Each Map!
Some of this has been done already and you may notice the differences between maps or at least between the maps we have adjusted and the ones still to be adjusted.
We most likely won't adjust ALL of the maps, as some we can leave as default, but the majority of them will most likely get custom-tweaking.

We also want to RE-set up the NO Bots Maps again!
This is so you have a Choice to play Only Real Players Or With Bots.
