INTRODUCING...
{CLD} = CROSSBONES Lucifur's Den *UP*

This server has Just about everything!
I am Sure it will be a Great Compliment to our other CROSSBONES Servers!

* DM, TDM, INSTAGIB, AS, CTF, SNIPER, DOM, LMS and BT++! and more!!!
* NOW with PirateDeemerCMM Also!!! <- NEW Redeemer Arena for 2010!!!
* This Server Just About HAS it ALL! - More Coming!

Note...
We are still Adding Maps and Tweaking (Mainly the BT Game Type) but the rest is nearly there.
Note: Some of the BT Maps that were loaded by Lucifur were corrupt or missing files - I am in the process of weeding these out and Fixing them.

Some Trial Changes to...
{CLD} CROSSBONES Lucifur's Den
We took a "Break" from the Normal Game Types we have been running on {CLD}.

MapVote Columns Changed NOW to ...

1) DM with ORANGE-Deemer
2) DM with PirateDeemerCMM
3) TDM with ORANGE-Deemer
4) CTF with ORANGE-Deemer

Yep, we have some TEAM Redeemer Games now, and YES, they are Really FUN!
ALL the BEST!!! :P
Especially with the ORANGE-Deemer!!!
The BOTs actually play pretty darn well with the ORANGE-Deemer although I still need to Tweak the BOTs on {CLD} for Redeemer.
They will rock after I do that for sure, as they do on {CRW} now.
I tried out this whole set up on {CLD} last night and I found it hard to stop playing. :wink:
ALSO, your Connection Should be Great on {CLD} as it is a Pro Rental Server with 10 Slots!

If you haven't already, You really should try {CLD} CROSSBONES Lucifur's Den!
It is like Rocket Arena on Steroids!!! :P
We are doing a Trial Game Types there where we use a Special Redeemer that is somewhere between a Rocket Launcher and the "Other" "Regular" redeemers. (And also MUCH Faster!)
The Cool thing is that the BOTs actually use THIS redeemer very well! (UNlike other redeemers)
This game really gives you a workout.


The NEW Game Types on {CLD} are Really Great and FUN for sure! :P
There is only ONE problem left to solve - :|
Some of the CTF maps seem to be crapping out when picked in mapvote.
Some, but not all.
I have to figure out WHAT is happening with those maps.
There is a possibility that they are corrupt as Lucifur had said that he thinks some of them are - I may try to re-upload them and see. :)
We are also doing some more Tweaking soon - on a Map-by-Map basis also! :P

Hey, HAPPY FRIDAY! :mrgreen:

EDIT: Oh MEAT - you don't do so bad at this yourself! :wink: (see post below) - at least UT will live on in more than just MY mind!

I am sorry I didn't get on CLD until about 1:30 am Sat. morning MY time CST.
I was at a benefit for the American Cancer Society I am doing this year and the band was SOOO good it lasted much later than I expected.
We raised quite a bit of money though so it was good! :wink:
I see that a few of you DID show singly and play for a bit.
I Played for about 1 1/2 hours - nobody up that late LOL :lol:
Just me and the bots.
But even the bots played well. :P

Sorry AGAIN!
I got online at {CLD} late (again) :roll: - about 12:45 CST Sat night (Sun morning).
Played for about an hour with SB (SilentBob) and RandomPlayer - We had a Great time for sure!!! :P
They REALLY Loved that ORANGE-Deemer - the Best!
Talk about Fast and Awesome Action!!! :P Even the Bots were good with that deemer!

I did play at {CLD} for about 2 1/2 hours mid day on Saturday also with 2 or 3 others! (mars007, nico (mar's brother) and another guy or 2) - can't remember the other names but they have been around our servers a lot.
(I'm gettin old!) :|
Great time was had by ALL for sure!!! :mrgreen:
Even the Bots were good! - Players were wondering if they were Really BOTs or not! :lol:
And that is Virtually UN-Heard of with Redeemers! :shock:

Okay I finally met up with Hook and played his new mod/server.
Scratching my head here...the almighty "Orange" deemer is a sprayer?
Well that's exactly what I did for 3 games and won...granted it's a fast pace
game/mod but it lacks power.
It usually took 2 shots/hits before a kill.
Also makes for a better deemer name...DoubleShot.
Never understood the name "Orange"?

Isn't EVERY weapon you try on Other servers a so-called "sprayer" to you? :roll:
It seemed to me that you were aiming at opponents and not really "spraying" as you call it.
Or maybe some of each style?

You can use it Any Way you want to. :P
"Almighty"? - Yeah, Nice! - but probably not. LOL :lol:
Bottom Line - It is a Very FUN and Versatile weapon that Even the Bots use well!
The bots even got you quite a few times - more than I did I think! LOL :lol:
I was paying more attention to how the server was running though, than playing.
There are some problems I am trying to iron out. :|

I guess with the Fast Paced Action that seems to Dominate when using the ORANGE-Deemer, you sometimes have to Resort to more Drastic Measures - like "spraying", in the Heat of it.
But next time, try Aiming it more - for more Precise, 1-hit kills.

Huh? :? - As both Gopo and myself have said, "It has a Smaller BLAST RADIUS than a Normal redeemer!"
Otherwise it has the Same Power as a Normal redeemer.
One Hit, One Kill! - IF you aim it (and hit) so that your opponent will be WITHIN its blast radius.
Same thing as a normal redeemer blast I would guess, except that you have to be quite a bit More Precise with your hits and Aiming and also think faster with the ORANGE-Deemer.
Also, like I said before, The ORANGE-Deemer is somewhere Between a rocket launcher and a regular redeemer, but Much Faster Missile Velocity (and can be faster paced) than both of those.
It has the Thrill of the redeemer and the fast pace of the rocket launcher, but faster and with a Sharp "Crack" of a blast sound, something like a loud firework or explosive going off.
I LOVE the sounds this weapon makes!!! :P

If you were "Spraying", how did you know how many hits it takes to kill?
AS you said, you were "Spraying"...
"Spraying" is just shooting all over without aiming at all, in Hopes of hitting Something, somewhere.
With THIS weapon, the ORANGE-Deemer, you Should use some skill and AIM it more.
With its Smaller Blast Radius, you have to Use a bit more Skill than a normal redeemer.
You actually need to Aim it more at your opponents, rather than relying on a huge blast radius to "mop up" anything anywhere near to where your missile hits as with a Normal redeemer.
Like I said above - One Hit, One Kill! - IF you aim it so that your opponent will be in its blast radius.
AND - you have to be quite a bit More Precise with your Hits and Aiming and also think faster with the ORANGE-Deemer.
Otherwise, yes, it MAY take more than one hit to frag an opponent if you are merely hitting in his vicinity and not close to him.

I can CALL it something different and more appropriate like...
FUN-Deemer, FAST-Deemer, STINGER-Deemer, WHALLOP-Deemer, ALMIGHTY-Deemer? LOL :lol: or whatever??? ...
But, Gopo named these 5 redeemers he produced as Colors just to differentiate between the 5 in this mod, and for lack of a better naming.
I'll probably just leave it called what it is. :wink:

MEAT, after you left, 3 others came into {CLD} -> Beagle, :)!!! and Iron_Chef.
They had nothing but Raves for this mod and the Newly added Game with it DOM.
Last Monday night also when there was 6 of us playing - same thing - they All Loved it!
Just a FEW of the comments made by the players...
"Best Mod I've Played, ever" - "Simply Awesome!" - "I Love this mod!" - and many more good ones! :P In fact ALL GOOD ones! :D
The comments really surprised me, were really appreciated, and also Made My Day for sure!
That is what is important to me - it is Very Well Liked! - I am Happy! :wink:

A little sensitive about our server our we...lol
Understandable...
The reason why I called it a sprayer weapon is because I never focused on one player/bot
at a time. I'd fire once and move on and if I don't see a "Kill" across the screen I'll throw
another missile in that direction and hope for a kill...hence "Spray".
As you noticed I never sat still or zeroed in on you or the bots...hence "Spray".
Maybe that's why I hardly ever got a "Kill" on the first shot.
And yes I hate spraying but I cut my teeth on spray servers so I can run with the best.
But don't get me wrong I'll give it another shot when it gets better.

So, you meant that the Weapon Itself is not a "sprayer" weapon - it is the USER OF the weapon that is or is not a "sprayer".
And, in THIS Case, How the ORANGE-Deemer is used or was used by you - or any other weapon for that matter.

Well, thanks for your feedback and trying it out. :P

The worst thing happening right now is that for some reason, the server won't play certain maps. :|
It doesn't seem to be the maps that are at fault.
When these certain maps are chosen in mapvote, the server seems to react to these maps the same way as when a map is missing a texture file or something.
It just restarts and goes to the default map.
It doesn't show the map as crashing though.
I have to do some digging on the server and see what is wrong.

Also, Gad-Zooks, did you notice my PING???
I usually stay between 110 and 150 on {CLD}. (server being in LA to Minnesota)
My ping playing last night with you and others was mostly over 300 and only occasionally dropping below 300.

And spraying isn't necessary a bad thing but more of a instinctive, inexperienced
and less skillful technique...normally preformed by newer players.
Unless the map calls for it or one has mastered the art of "spray".
Personally I'm an advocate of bot count to map size ratios plus bringing a bit
of fairness to the smaller maps by adding spawn protection.
But don't get me wrong...spraying has been around since UT99 started.
And smaller stock maps, skill levels and bot counts pretty much dictated the

Where as I've done my best to help UT99/Redeemer evolve beyond spraying
by offering different individual game setups.
So for example your "Orange" deemer would play differently on a larger map
and with less bots.
