I tried to go on the server today, but it said package 'R3tex' failed and refused to send.
Is there a way to fix this?

Yes there is. Thanks for nailing down exactly what did not work. Can you possibly recall the map too? I'm going in to look at it right now!

Re: Can't connect to server
Wow! I was missing a ton of the Community Bonus Pack 2 Volume 1 files on the redirect server. I'm loading the whole thing right now. Thank you very much! Had you not logged in and told me, I would not have known to get it fixed. Thanks again. Give me about 1 hour from now to have it resolved.

Re: Can't connect to server
hey herm, what do you use for syncronizing your server with the redirect?
I use RSC - "Redirect Server Checker" for U01... Once set up it will compare your server and the redirect and determine whats missing. It will then compress the missing files for you and upload them to the redirect. Its basically a push one button effort, walk away and go get coffee sort of thing. LOL.
The only thing you spend time doing is setting up the maps to work on the server....then RSC does the rest.

Re: Can't connect to server
Ready for this answer? OK, here it is. I load "everything" manually. Yes, I do it all the hard time consuming way. I should look into the thing you mentioned. Somebody suggested it to me before but I'm so old-school that new stuff usually freaks me out and I'd rather just do it the way I know how to than to learn a newer better way. If I get a umod I need, I unpack. Then I copy all of the files I need to a folder called UZ. Then I run a little batch file I made which compresses everything. Then I copy the compressed files up to the redirect server. Then I copy the original files into the actual gameserver folders where they go. Yes, it takes forever and leaves plenty of room for error as you saw here. Pretty amazing that I got all 3 new servers up and going in about a week being an active married father of two with a full time job. CYA!

Re: Can't connect to server
Yeah, I was doing it the long way to. I used a simple utility that did the compressing at first and found out later it was corrupting some of the compressed files, so they wouldnt work... forcing the server to send out files....I thought to myself, "Theres got to be a better way to do this", I thought about writing my own program but thought, "why reinvent the wheel" .... then I found Redirect Server Checker.
Its a time saver for sure.
