Face(less) down in the dirt.
(And nope, we're not talking about my doppleganger "the faceless lady" here. )
They got me just as I was about to release the gravity vortex in DM-Underground again. It was as funny as [heck] to see a bot that was hung up on one of the chairs waving and bouncing around like a flag in the breeze.

I always liked Invasion. Scify did too. Invasion with custom monsters and Chaos weapons? Sounds awesome. Maybe Scify and and a few others, like Blondehottie maybe, will be intrigued enough to try it out.

Re: Pyhrric Victories
Another point of interest here is the mod itself that allows all these cool things to happen. We need to get into it and see what else it can do or be made to do. Yes, I'm going to fiddle with this and with this server I got here. This should be cool. I loved the pictures in the link above too!

Re: Pyhrric Victories
This hasn't happened in so long, that I had to hit a few keys to be sure I got a screenshot of my victorious death. Damn, those bots are good with the rail gun!

Re: Pyhrric Victories
Yet another "Ya hadda be there, but it was funny as hell" moment. Cheated once again out of a perfect game by a pesky bot, and just at the last second. The game ended just as I hit the ground where the chalk outline is, and as my body rolled to its final resting place, the announcer told me I had just won the match.

Re: Pyhrric Victories
Hmmm? I ought to put that in as a fix for Chaos to place the outline at the final resting place of the body and not where the body lost all health. I bet it would crash the server if you died in a river and the body kept floating. I would think that would cause some sort of run-time error but a check could be built to drop it no matter what at maybe 5 - 10 seconds after the actual moment of zero health. I will bring this up on the Chaos forum. It will be the first time I brought up a UT2K4 Chaos issue possibly.

Re: Pyhrric Victories
It's a minor matter, but I guess it should be fixed if at all possible.
For myself it's not a biggie; I just keep updating this thread because I want other players to see how much fun this mod can be, even when you're playing alone.

Here I was playing DM-Altitude. This map is set on an small island floating high in the atmosphere. I suffered quite a few deaths, because I was amusing myself by limiting myself to kills where I would kick the bot over the edge of the structure to fall to its death. Right after I got killed a bot that was already falling won the game for me.

Re: Pyhrric Victories
This one is a pyhrric victory of a different kind. I won the match, but perhaps the bots won the war. Look at my ping! I've become one with them! Ack!

Oh, I think it's just a symptom of the lag spikes I get sometimes. It's happened again a couple of times since I posted this screenshot, too.Hermskii wrote:Hahahaha! Awesome! How did you get a zero ping Cool J.

The bot and I took each other out with our rocket launchers. And as this one made me laugh; here it is:
