Nope. I have suffered from a stress headache probably from not smoking for several days. I'm going to try to put down my kids and their friends to bed early tonight and get some well needed rest. So now we are back to Sunday. When is good for you Sunday? I f ican't put kids to bed then I might be back on this thing tonight and I'll jsu tlook to see if you are on here or the server and try to catch you like that!

Name your time Sunday afternoon then m8. :)

But I will go in now, just in case. ;)

Oh, and another thing or two:
1)
I'm willing to freeze you as much as you want, but I would rather only be frozen all the way to death ONCE. It is the dying by freeze gun that crashes my game and my PC. And the reboot is a long and nasty business, since it takes forever for this 9 year old heap to boot up. Partial freezes are ok, as long as I die by some other weapon. ;)

You should see for yourself the slowdown you get for freeze damage taken. The more damage, the slower you move. And the effect does NOT wear off. Oh, and we should test to see if this aspect is unique to me alone or not.

2)
You know how they talk about layers in photo shop? Different layers for different effects? Well, I'm pretty sure that the frozen view effect that you see when you take a good pasting from the freeze gun is a layer effect. The last time I died by the freeze cannon I was able to see just as I crashed out that there was some sort of frozen window pane effect between me and the rest of the map. I'm wondering if that layering effect is at the root of the problem.

Ok it is Sunday, 1:05 pm CST. I have just finished reading a very inspirational book that I borrowed from the library. I will be unavailable for a couple of hours or more while I return it and look to see if they got any of the sequels onto the shelves.

Btw, if you're still feeling off colour m8 we can do this another time. There's certainly no rush. ;)

I was OK when I woke up and all morning until I went to church. On the way there it reyrurned. In church I thought I was going to pass out from it. I came home and found the muscle relaxers I used to make this go away last time. I have taken one about an hour ago and already notice a significant improvement. I'm finding doesn't hurt when Iclose my eyes and when I bow my head. Perfect for praying!

Get you book and fool around. I'll be on the server a little later today.

Yes indeed. That is exactly the very last thing I see before I crash out.

(What I saw from my point of view at the time of your screen shot was just a very accurate portrayal of an icy frost cloud swirling all around you.)

Hey I might be wrong about this, but tonight after getting partially frozen and slowed down quite a bit, when I got partially cooked by the same weapon in flame mode later on, I found I could run a bit faster than before. I tried to get cooked some more to see if it would unfreeze me completely, but was unsuccessful. This needs to be checked out! :o

Awwww mannn! That is a cool weapon and you are the only one having the problem. You are also the only one playing the server so that gives your request some weight. Hmmmm? What to do, what to do???

Can you agree to let me remote in on your PC and check your set up for UT? I'll remove the gun and the ammo but it really does rule and I'd much rather fix your issue than handicap the server.

Wow I totally forgot that I had figured this out already, and rediscovered it last week. I got 50% frozen, then thoroughly cooked during a map. I should have died but health packs were right there. I could move fully again after this extreme fix. So there is a cure for the frozen and can't run or jump any more blues, but it is very risky.

Did we ever get around to fully testing all of the aspects of this problem? I seem to recall that we started to do so, but that I crashed out and you were gone by the time I could finally get back onto the server.

I saw the frozen window pane effect for the first time in a very long time tonight, and it caused my PC to crash yet again, as always.

I like the MUG weapon, but if it is possible to delete the freeze ammo from the server, then perhaps it should be done.
