Having issues attaching files
I was going to add to a thread in the off topic about funny jokes. I was trying to attach an audio file, as I have done so in the past, but it did not work.
It will go through the steps, such as selecting the file, loading the file, and then when it is done loading it returns to the screen but no file.
Here are some screen shots of the events.
I am lost.

Re: Having issues attaching files
A thought came to me. Does it matter that the file I have been trying to attach is a wave sound file?

Ahh........it does not accept the wave sound file. With use of one of my programs, I changed the wave sound file to a MP3 file and it did load it.... Got it.

Re: Having issues attaching files
Audio Wave files (uncompressed, lossless quality) are usually up to 10 times bigger than MP3 files (compressed, loss of quality) in size, so I guess you had probably reached the size limit for a single upload.
Herm please I (we) would like to know the current size limit for each uploaded file, and whether there's an overall limit for all of your uploaded files or not.

The wave sound file was only 968 kb compared to the MP3 version which is 1.37 mb.*POTS* wrote:Audio Wave files (uncompressed, lossless quality) are usually up to 10 times bigger than MP3 files (compressed, loss of quality) in size, so I guess you had probably reached the size limit for a single upload.

Re: Having issues attaching files
I know there are permissions and settings that allow or dis-allow file types and sizes with phpBB3.
Hermskii may have to alter these.

Re: Having issues attaching files
I don't know and I'm in no hurry to check. 3mb is pretty big I think. Try it and let's see if it takes. I assume that by default certain types are allowed for reasons and I tend to go with default settings when I don't know better.

So are we all happy enough then? I don't have to go digging into the back-end of the forum to tell you folks what the settings actually are right?
