Can't change signature image

Hi all, long time no see.

Well, today I wanted to change my signature and there's a problem:
I can only submit text, since images it always says this:

It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image.

No matter what kind of images they are: jpg, png and even gif, and I tried since 39x39 images to over than 500 high, and therefore I could only change the text, and it doesn't accept the old image anymore either.

But I tried other misc images around the web, of all sizes and all formats: png, jpg and gif. It just doesn't work in any image at all

Yes, same problem with me editing my sig.
I can't even RE-Save my same sig - get same error message as Feralidragon.
Somebody had this problem on another forum but I can't remember the solution!

Hmmm? OK, all I know so far is it has to do with this option:

allow_url_fopen function in the php.ini

The web server has to be open to download all pictures itself first. If it can't it won't display the picture. I recall working with this setting when I first switched to PHPBB 3.0 a while back. These pictures worked then and I haven't changed anything. I know I can just go in and set it to yes or no and one will work but there was a security issue with choosing the wrong option if I recall.

This will take longer than I thought. Wish me luck.

I had set a limit on the size of the images to something that made no sense to the forum so it became impossible to post the image. Sort of as if I told the forum that only images that used an even number of pixels could be used in a odd numbered only space. Not possible so it choked.
