Yes, I'm all proud of myself right now because I have added everything everybody has asked of me to the {MHM} server and I have moved everything around here to make it as easy as possible for folks to find and / or learn what ever they need to. This forum is in rare form right now. No big fights going on. No confusion. No problems. It has passed a milestone today that I didn't know was in its path. Thanks all! This place is shaping up nicely and it would not have been possible without you! I'd name everyone who has helped but you all know who you are. Thank you all very much! Let's all keep looking forward and keep working with each other to succeed!
~Peace~

A jinx, in popular superstition and folklore, is:

A type of curse placed on a person that makes them prey to many minor misfortunes and other forms of bad luck;
A person afflicted with a similar curse, who, while not directly subject to a series of misfortunes, seems to attract them to anyone in his vicinity.
An object that brings bad luck.
A common slang term used when two people say the same thing at the same time, said as a game among the young.
The superstition can also be referenced when talking about a future event with too much confidence. A statement such as "We're sure to win the contest!" can be seen as a jinx because it tempts fate, thereby bringing bad luck. The event itself is referred to as "jinxed". The most dramatic historical example of this type of jinxing is the R.M.S. Titanic which was said to be unsinkable, then sunk on its maiden voyage.

In a similar way, calling attention to good fortune – e.g. noting that a certain athlete is having a streak of particularly good fortune – is thought to "jinx" it. If the good fortune ends immediately afterward, the jinx is then blamed for the turn of events, if only jokingly.

Aw now, David.
Don't you know it's bad luck to believe in superstitions!

You know MEAT, I was looking at that and it reminds me of what someone said about this forum returning from the ashes after my "Big Delete Everyone Accident". The only thing I can really put in that spot which will look good is an old style Unreal Tournament "U". I hear there was one in the beta of UT that looks really good. I'm thinking about getting it and changing out the chicken but I'm starting to like that bird too.

One question: what happened to the ladies? They used to be more active in the past. What about making a new board for them containing fashion topics, cooking tips, VIP gossip and stuff like that to catch their interest? I guess they're getting bored ATM. :|

Being a resident of Phoenix, I can suggest a better quality bird.
Our city logo, for starters:

Or search Google Images
But yeah, things are looking good!
Yes, women oriented topics would be a good idea.
Maybe sewing with MEAT!

I like the Sewing with MEAT addition - that would be good! :P

Is this what is known as "Flipping the Bird"? :|

My mom was really bohemian about things and went out of her way to teach us the skills to survive in the world. One of the things she taught me was sewing, and it's actually one of my private hobbies. I make most of the kids slouchy night-time outfits and some of their school clothes (when I have time).

On one of my days off a carrier from the office stopped by my house for his lunch. Now my friends just come in, none of that knocking on the door crap. I had the whole dining room table spread out making a comforter and I was sewing my heart out. He walks in the door, takes one look at me in my gay sewing apron and says stone faced: "You know I'm telling everyone, right?" Caveat: if you have ever sewed, you know the apron is fey but almost necessary or you are always looking for the pinking shears or extra feet.

I put up with a couple of days of ribbing but pretty soon some guys were privately asking me "Can you fix my workpants?" or "I got a hole in my shirt"...(Postal uniforms are really expensive so you need them to last) Once I started the odd job around the office, no one flips me crap about it now.
