Let's have a talk...
Let's have a talk people.
I finally pretty much got CG and MHM back up on a functional network in my new house after several weeks of being offline. Lots has happened around here since then too. I wish I could say it was all for the better but well, that just isn't the case. There is light at the end of the tunnel though.
CG was my first successful server and it was at the top for a long long time. then I ventured over into MH and MHM was at the top for a long long time. During these spans of time I also made the HOH website and this HOH forum.
Many people have come and gone along with the servers and forums they had. We have all gained during this time of plenty. We have all lost too meaning study time, family time, players that have moved on along with the mappers and everyone else who contribute no more because they have moved along in there life.
I am a witness to this and I fully understand and expect it every single year. This forum itself pulses dynamically with the amount of activity that is produced here by you and the others. That is just cool as hell to me but all pulses have a near equal opposite reaction. If the get big (busy) they will get small (slow). The beauty here is that until the very very end, the opposite reaction will occur to every small (slow) pulse.
I'm thrilled to say that I have no doubt that this is a place where I know I can count on seeing certain people well into the future. Not daily. Not monthly. Just often enough though that I'll always be glad to see them. These are folks that like me want to step away from everyday life every once in a while and sit comfortably before their PC and share with others. Share laughs, share stories, share software, share a respectful round of competition with each other but in the end share themselves with others who know and respect them.
I have all of this right here. I'm not going anywhere in the long foreseeable future until I die if I can help it.I just wanted to get that out.

Re: Let's have a talk...
Oh yeah, I also wanted to point out that I have made a few corrections and updates to the pages of the www.Hermskii.com website. the links now once again work. There is mention of GOPO and all he has done for my MH community with his MHMHOHMOD he made for me. The servers are on the best network they have ever been on. This forum runs much quicker after an issue was identified and fixed. In short, a lot of this just got a lot better around here in the last week though it may have seemed that doom was just around the corner with the issues that have come up recently with my internet service provider and my move and the server and network equipment itself.
A lot of the new blood is now old and moving out. Expect another round of noobs coming in soon as they have every year which reminds me. This forum turned 5 years old on 07-10-2010. I usually remember to wish us a happy B-Day but forgot. I too had a B-Day on July 11th. I guess the auto b-day didn't work again this year cause nobody said squat bu tI really don't mind. turning 43 was better than turning 41 and 42 and after turning 40 you really don't want too much recognition of getting even older or at least I don't want it.
Keep looking forward. Keep bringing more people into UT whether here or at any other forum. Keep them coming as long as you can cause I'll be here as long as I can! Peace all!

Re: Let's have a talk...
Then we will say it now... Happy belated birthday!
I don't know if it worked or not... as some or many noticed that I haven't been around the last 2-3 weeks...
Main reason was that I was busy moving, also the internet was down 10 days..
So I will be around more now.

Re: Let's have a talk...
Happy Belated Birthday Herm. Just think of it as being blessed to be able to celabrate the birthday with your wife and kids. You did not have 43 of those yet. I am with you, I like to use this time (time on HOH, UT) as a time for a break. The only thing different on my end, I do not have a comfortable chair Did you get it? I said end concerning this topic. hahahaha. Later, after paying some bills, I to will get a comfortable chair to sit and enjoy the break more.
Nice touch on House of Hermskii. I agree on the points made.
