Helen, all other things aside, would it help to take off the auto-respawn on the server?
Right now it is set so that re-spawning is immediate.

Also, Hermskii, as the new redeemer mod PirateDeemerCMM011 sits, the speed of a guided firing is not adjustable, YET.
As it is now, the guided or alt-fired missile is set at the default speed - the speed of the stock redeemer.
Helen put the coding in the mod that adjusts the guided or alt-fired missile's speed, but it isn't working at this point yet.
From what I have read, this is tough to do. (I think???) :|
This is about the Only thing that isn't yet adjustable on this new mod.

1 - OK - I took off the Auto-Force Respawn - set it to "False".
Now you have to hit the fire button to re-spawn on CMM. (left click the mouse)

2 - I also added back in Spawn Protection using ccProtector420. (Tentative!!!)
This is Tentative, as i am not a fan of spawn protection and this just may come back off.
( set as: 2 seconds Guarantied and 7 seconds additional guard time)
MinGuardTime=2
GuardTime=7
9 seconds total maximum Protection time. :wink: (for now)

When you do something you go whole hog, eh?

You don't have to turn off auto spawn, the spawn protection covers the spawning problem. Turning off the auto-spawn affects your current gameplay too much. We need those free kills when a player has gone to get a snack lol.

After I finish my map, I'll see if I can add an option to cc protector, something like 'ProtectionType', with options of 'enemy, self, all'. That way you could set it to self to protect against suicides only. I think I'll also add an option to not show that colored teleport visual effect.

OK - I agree about the Force Re-spawn (auto-spawn) setting.
It is back ON now. :P

Yes, those additional Options in CCProtector would be good. :wink:

Oh also I set the "Fix Linux Characters" to True now on CMM's scoreboard.
Seems to work fine now.
But, this is with ValhallaAvatar off the server.

When it screwed up before, with "Fix Linux Characters" set to True, we had Valhalla on the server.

I Still cannot say 100% what mod is doing the "funny skins" thing, but my guess is the Valhalla mod, as it is still a BETA mod and was never finished really.

Just an FYI...

Take Out Spawn Protection!!! - DONE!
Spawn Protection is OFF again now.
We had virtually unanimous agreement on this from the players at CMM.
Most players grumbled about this when I added Spawn Protection back into CMM this past week.
I agree, and have always agreed!

Spawn Protection was Not Ever part of the Original Redeemer Arena.
A few redeemer servers added it in recent years, mainly the {M} server. :roll:
I consider it UN-Redeemer like to use Spawn Protection in any redeemer server!
Spawn Protection is Very WIMPY for any "real" redeemer server to use.
The possible exception would Maybe be for "newbie" or "beginner" redeemer servers.
It is just a "Crutch" for wimps, newbies or criers to lean on. :?
That is my opinion, and also the opinion most regular, real original redeemer players. (mocho :lol: )
Spawn Protection should not be learned and/or relied upon in Redeemer Arena, even by Newbies to this game type.
So, as it is, it is removed from CMM, again, by popular demand.

If Helen re-codes CCProtector420 adding those new protection options he mentioned, we will probably try it again at that point using the new options added.

Does that make 2? 2 request to the mod that that it doesn't currently fully support?

1. Being able to guide deemers at twice the speed of the fastest running away translocating player.

2. A built in can't kill yourself for spawning with a nuke in hand by pressing the fire button when it is not required.

Yeah, that's 2 I think. I haven't heard any other request brought up so far.

As far as the faster guided missile goes; I wonder how to make it work when the deemers are all different speeds I think depending on which version of the deemer is played at HOOK's.

For point #1, yes I agree that would be handy to be able to set the guiding speed. I did attempt it all those months ago, but it didn't want to obey me. So no guarantees this coudl be done after a second attempt.

For point #2, that's a good idea to put the suicide protection into the mod itself.

And introducing, Point #3: I have started playing with weapon hand 'hidden'. It turns out that I can't see the radar when I have weapon hand hidden. So I'd like to fix that.

So I'll crack it open sometime in the future.

I expect nothing and hope for some of it. Any improvement is exactly that; an improvement. Time is no worry but I would hope to see any of the 3 resolved within 5 years please.

You hide the deemer? I know there is an advantage to it but I have never done so.. I like seeing the weapon in hand. I also like that HOOK's is smaller than the norm. hehehe! "Hook's is smaller than the norm." LOL!

HOOK's weapon in hand is smaller than the normal Redeemer is what I was saying!

Normally what Herm is trying to say wouldn't be desirable - I think LOL. :lol:
But, in the case of the redeemer weapon, the "small" weapon in hand image, as is with the PirateDeemerCMM, it is an advantage. :P
