Send it to HOOK. That cheap guy needs a new PC. No wait. I'll send him one. You should start a server/fileserver with it. I don't know but it sounds good right? Send it to me!
~Peace~

That is what I was thinking,a good UT fileserver would be nice I think. I think we have enough servers though but maybe a CTF one?? not sure.

What about a 1on1 DM/iDM/sDM multimod server with zeroping and stuff? There aren't many of those left around, and most of them are either missing zeroping or have an ugly map selection. The file server idea sounds interesting too.

Do you think running both would compromise performance much?

I doubt a 2 slots server would require that much of resources, but FTP access for file sharing is gonna cause a lot of lag. :?

Yes just wondering how much though with that large bandwidth. I suppose I could cap the max rate on the FTP

I purchase my build on Wednesday while in Kansas City(they have a Microcenter there!) so wife can chill with her parents and I can stop in this store to pick up my parts..

What should I get graphics card wise,

1. Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 6850 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.1 x16 Video Card GV-R685OC-1GD
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0354216 Price=$179.99

2. Gigabyte GV-N56GOC-1GI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0369114
Price=$209.99

3. EVGA 02G-P3-1386-KR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 2048MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0363992

4. EVGA 01G-P3-1460-KR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0365380

I will have around 380 to play with for a graphics card and hopefully this Hard drive and Cooler

1. Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 1.5TB SATA 6Gb/s 3.5" Desktop Internal Hard Drive - OEM
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0366709
Price= $65.00

or
2.Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 HDS5C3020ALA632 2TB SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0356677
Price=$79.00

My Fan Choice
Cooler Master V8 Universal CPU Cooler
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0299478

Price=$59.99

I will put my 2 older hard drives a 500gig and 320 gig into the old PC for the file server/ut server, I'll still need a CD drive for it, but those are cheap.
