This one was done by Chris Ollis as individual superhero skins with no team colors. I edited the .int file, created a new texure package, added some faces, and made the individual heroes into the team colors.

There's a male version of this skin too.

Truly wonky project:

I've got more, will post later.

Technically this entire project took me all of about 20 to 30 minutes. I had the idea kicking around in my head a couple days but I didn't actually start it until about an hour ago and the only reason I'm typing it so late is I wanted to see how it looked ingame.

As I've mentioned, a lot of my skins are edits and I use MS Paint and a few other odd things, never designed for Unreal but more for graphics in general, to work on them. Like the Dark Hero skin which is Batman with team colors Red (Captain America) Blue (Superman) Green (Green Lantern) Gold (Iron Man).

That skin came from a comic skin package made by Chris Ollis, who I, after the fact, got permission to edit his stuff:

http://pics.livejournal.com/evilgrins/pic/00bb5gsp

Anyway, turns out he made a couple other comic batches and I took this from one of them:

Image

No team colors at all and while I toyed with just doing the trunks, they weren't situated right. So, I borrowed pants and boots from 2 other skins, tinted up some team colors, and finally came to this:

Image

This is mostly done. I'm toying with adding a belt and maybe gauntlets.

Insomnia does have its uses.

I'm a geek, sue me.

Star Trek: Mirror Universe

I'm not set on 2 of the faces, including Kirk. May have to switch them out if I can't match the skin tone of the face to the arms.

Image

May also change the color depth. The team colors are a bit brighter than I intended.

Sometime you should tell us just how you do your skinning.
Like a tutorial, with all the "mechanics" of what you do.
Post it here and at HUTP both.
This is something I have only barely looked at and I am interested.
I am thinking of doing all the bots on CMM in a special custom skin.

EG, you do things a lot like I do I am thinking.
I use very basic tools to do graphics etc.
Paint, and the likes of it.

Awww, thanks!

Actually, somewhere here and on ut99.org I did explain it out. Someone was asking. I'll see if I can track it down.

I'll import the whole post later, but this should do for now:

Like I said, I have been contemplating a lot lately about having some "uniformed" (a special CMM skin) skin for the bots on CMM.
Or at least SOME of the bots on CMM. :P

Yeah, importing to here at HOH and my forum at HUTP would be best for sure.
I am looking forward to it.

While I was on http://www.deadcatz.com/ I spotted what appeared to be an unused face. So I incorporated it into a spare Punisher skin I had sitting around and voila!

Image

I gave it this face:

If ever the early years of the comic industry made a godpowered/weirdo, it was this guy.

Image

The Composite Superman. Never heard a good explanation for why he chose to look like that, cuz he did choose the look, but he basically has the powers of the Legion of SuperHeroes...

...also one of the oddest origin stories I've ever heard:

For the record:

Figured I wasn't doing anything better with my day so I decided to take a stab at him:

Image

I'm still working out how I'm going to handle the team colors.

Lantern Corps in ut99
For ut99, Chris Ollis made 2 skin packs of superhero skins; both Marvel & DC mixed togther. From those skins, none of which had team colors, I made a number of other skins with team colors. Much after the fact, as I didn't have contact info initially, I checked Chris to see if it was okay and he said he was glad they were still circulating and to edit away.

So I did, I am, and likely still will.

The first pack had a Green Lantern, Hal Jordan face, which I don't still have...exactly. Kept the .utx file but dumped the .int as I didn't need it. Minus the arms, it basically looked like this next pic which is the green team color for my Dark Hero skin:

Image

From it I made my first Green Lantern skin; faces Hal Jordan, Jon Stewart, Sinestro:

Image

If you've been following DC Comics the last few years you probably know about the War of Light. Those that don't, other Lantern Corps rose up, each color representing a different facet of the emotional spectrum.

I made Agent Orange next:

Image

After that were the Star Sapphires (Love) same basic team color setup on the insignia:

Image
In the comics the Sapphires are mostly women. For the dark future of ut99 I've allowed for men and that they're all sexual deviants. Names for each face: Alien Lover, de Sade, Freaky Deaky, Butt·Ugly Love, Love's Soldier, Necrophiliac, R·Complex, Sex Toy, & Stalker.

I'm loosely toying with doing the other ones too: Sinestro Corps, Red Lanterns, Blue Lanterns, Blackest Night, & White Lanterns. Not quite in the mood to go there yet and I'd like to add something more to the skin rather than just a basic primary color. That and I'm not sure if the Blue (largely made up of priests and philosophers) fit the ut99 scenario...

...whereas the Red Lanterns are perfect for it (RAGE) but other than Duke Nukem I don't have a lot of good faces for them.
