MalwareBytes

Then update and do a full virus scan run AGAIN.

If none of that works completely then try

CCLEANER.

Let us know. I don't think facebook gave it to you but you may have gone to a link on facebook to a place that hit you hard.

My "ME" comp seems to stay safe bc nobody writes viruses for it! LOL
But I have heard from a few friends that their comps seem quite screwed up after being on Facebook!
With My comp I usually have to restart it after my wife gets off facebook.

Chef
I have to agree on this one.
I played DM_Cranes just last night.
Almost forgot how much fun it was.
Too bad there wasn't any humans to chat with. :|

Today I'm asking about "Free Remote Programs"

At work I use "Go To My PC" and I think it is a very good program but I don't like that I can't see the mouse at the PC I'm connected to when the user moves it around. We also use "Go To Assist" Which I think is just awesome. It does everything well. Both require registration and fees. I was hoping somebody knew of a free program that works as well or close to one of these. Thanks!

I've just realized that not just the signatures, but now also the IMG forum tag has stopped working for no apparent reason. May we have it back and working? Maybe a reset to the "factory settings" might help. :?

OK I'm still waiting on the free remote software but until then like I mentioned on another topic here, let's start a new topic and start testing and determine what does and doesn't work in the world of images here and I'm game for suggestions too.

I don't think I had changed anything so it must be a break that I don't know squat about.

Both the images and the signatures work again now! Good job Herm. 8)
What did you do to fix that? Hope it wasn't that hard.

I had only set the size limit to 800 x 600 but it freaked out for some reason. I started thinking about it after I fixed it and recalled part of a conversation with GOPO where he told me my thought process on limiting avatar sizes and signature sizes was flawed. He was right. I was trying to regulate both the size of the avatar and any image added to a topic whether it be a straight add or part of a signature to never be able to force the screen to stretch more than my monitors view setting of 1280 X 1024.

Somebody tell me how to limit the size of these 2 items to meet my one request.

Does anyone know of a freeware program that can monitor and record the internet connect speed (download and upload speeds)? I would like to be able to monitor (record by graph or numbers) the service I am getting to have some proof of the lack of stability in my service.

I don't know of such a program, but you could use http://www.speedtest.net/ and http://www.pingtest.net/ to collect some data. I doubt your ISP would trust you anyways.

Here's an example of what you may get:

P.S. Sometimes I get awful upload speeds and 2% packet loss and I have to restart my router to fix that. Some other times the DSL link fails on its own and if it's my "lucky" day I have to wait up to 2 or 3 days to get that fixed by my ISP.
