Dear Hippiekat[AI],
Please consider yourselfe BANNED from this forum. The first time you mentioned that legacy game: "Quake 2" was bad enough but now you go off and mention it again. What is wrong wityh you mannnn?
We only play the good stuff. We have what we need. Go away! Stop this nonsense about this Quake IV.
OK, that is all for now. I'm out for the night. Later. (Drunk just a little)

I went and got the demo. I find that it is DOOM 3 all over again. It was also disappointingly short. As far as gameplay is concerned, I also have the same issues that I had with the Doom 3 demo.
ie. Can this guy run at all? He can walk, and he can walk slowly, but how do you make him run? And why can't he jump onto the lowest of boxes? The characters in this game are tired and listless, or else running around on heavy gravity planets compared to the UT2k4 characters. The world graphics are on a par with 2k4, or nearly. The modelling of the humans may be a tad better, but I still saw a character whose head was pointy at the back.
I'm curious to know if Doom 3 and Quake 4 characters are capable of running around -and I do mean running, not fast walking- in a large open environment like you can have in UT2k4. Is this new engine from ID capable of such a feat? Or will the players of this game be "doomed" to narrow corridors forever?
I guess what I'm asking is: Are there any maps to play in that are outside, and at least as spacious and pretty as UT2k4's ONS-Torlan?
