OK fine. If I get off scot-free without needing any fillings after my upcoming dental appointment, then eff it. I'll consider buying that new computer out of the emergency fund that is supposed to be for house repairs.

Or at least a lotto ticket on that 649 lottery I never win anything on.

Look mah, no cavities!

My monitor has been warning me that it's getting ready to die for six months now. And of course what I want to replace it with is this.

I like this company because you can configure a PC the way you want it, and they get you started nicely with something like this.

But common sense will prevail, especially at least until the European mess calms down. :?

Careful of the prices, they are steep, the monitor can be found much cheaper in other sites, and the pc you can build about 2 of those for the price they are asking (customized)

Good call Keller. Don't go spending top dollar on PC stuff. get close to the best but never buy the best if money is an issue. I'm still on a single core 3000mhz and doing just fine!

The monitor is what I wanted, not what I can afford.

And as far as prices go, everyone in Canada is aware that almost everything is far cheaper in the USA. The question is: Is it cheaper to buy something from a retailer in the US, and then pay to ship it up here, and then pay the duty on it? And is the savings enough to be worth the hassle?

The BenQ 2410 I like is on sale for $280. Dunno why you guys think that it's expensive up here at it's normal price of $370. Check out these USA prices along with this review:
