UT Screenshots Corrupted at High Resolutions
Source: http://www.unrealadmin.org/forums/showt ... hp?t=29936
Problem: your monitor supports a resolution of 1366x768 (16:9) but if using that value for UT, the screenshots will get corrupted.
Reason: UT doesn't follow the BMP specifications that each pixel row's data must be padded to multiples of 4 bytes. If your horizontal screen resolution isn't dividable by 4 then the screenshot BMP file will be off-specs. (Wormbo)
Solution: be sure your horizontal screen resolution is a multiple of 4. 1366/4 = 341.5!
Either 1280x720 or 1360x768 should work fine for 16:9 screens.

That is for the screen shots to be clear but will the image while you play be clear then and not skewed? I would think you can only have it one way or the other or can you play at 1 resolution and set screen shots to be taken at another while you play?

This is a big deal too I think. Should I move this to your essentials topic?

Ah yes, think there's that FAQ thread, maybe you should post it there, thanks!
Anyway to answer your question, the game looks fine, but the screenshots get skewed and in gray scale (MS Paint on Win7 can't even open them at all). You can just set a unique resolution both for the game and the screenshots.
[Edit]
Found it, no idea why it was in the Curious George board though:

Attached is an example of what I mean.

Re: UT Screenshots Corrupted at High Resolutions
1366 ? Seems to be a bad value. I admit I have a maximum of 1280. Right now I try a game at 1280 × 960.
At a better resolution won't works ? Anyway I think 1366 is a strange value.
I converted it to jpg to be shorter.

Should I move them both? This thread and the topic you found too?

Re: UT Screenshots Corrupted at High Resolutions
Well, 1366x768 is the native resolution of most laptops nowadays. I personally use 1280x720 and it works fine for me (except for the big and blurry crosshairs, cause of the 16:9 aspect ratio being not supported by UT).Nelsona wrote:1366 ? Seems to be a bad value. I'm starting to think having to scroll through multiple pages in the same thread isn't a great idea, maybe it's best to keep each topic separated instead.Hermskii wrote:Should I move them both? This thread and the topic you found too?
I'm also not sure about moving that FAQ thread to this section, since IIRC it was already the final result of merging together two distinct FAQ threads; I mean, what if something goes wrong, and part of the thread stays there?
