I realize that - but MY real point there was that is it worth installing and fiddling with Nexgen and any/all its problems that come up just for the chat portion when MapVote is probably already installed and helps alleviate that problem. :wink:

Well in any case... it made me look at the mapvote .ini closely again and discovered a few more settings to help tweak things a bit. :wink:

This is a FYI: I've randomly found out that the Galtic Launcher (an altered version of the Redeemer made by BoomBoy and part of the BPak.u package that shots dispersion ammo beams and a huge plasma ball that you can find in some spammy maps like MH-ATAA0) is automatically replaced with the new MH redeemer. Why does the new deemer override also the Galtic Launcher? :?

I did a full replace of the redeemer classes on purpose. It will replace all redeemer subclasses too. This was about 75% to get people to customize and about 25% for a private reason I will email to you.

Now Im not trying to be smart or anything but why would changing the redeemer be a private matter? :P I thought that spammy redeemer was pretty cool even though it lagged the servers pretty bad.

GP im loving how the mod has been working, however as brought up before, upon picking up a flashlight I would like for it to turn on. Also, is it hard to revert the flashlight/search light to a beam of directional light instead of an aura of light? I feel the directional lighting adds to the excitment of a dark map.. especially running thru tunnels and ductwork.

Herm I'll email you and hook. Mandrake, the flashlight will autoactivate when you run across it. If you don't see it as a black/yellow handle now, let me know. I'm not sure why it doesn't work right for you.
BTW It's not a private matter, it's really my personal choice on the deemer, though made with a reason I'd rather not share openly.

Its a black/yellow flashlight but never activates on me when i pick it up.
Its lunch break now and I am going in to verify this on different maps. Thing is I cant remember what maps have flashlights i can quickly test without having to search all over. haha

DM-FragginsteinCastle was my very first map that I made and published.
In fact, there is a small area still in this map way down in the lowest dungeons that is part of the tutorial I used to learn mapping! :lol:
I just kept on going with it after completing a step by step tutorial to build a small map.

Then I made 2 variations of it...
DM-FragginsteinCastleDKM - the DarkMatch version
and
DM-FragginsteinCastle50mm - that uses several mounted 50mm machine guns
I made these way back in the early months of 2001.

GoPo, I went into Nightmarehouse and found flashlights that wont turn on after pickup.

You must have some mod modifying pickups then. I specifically coded an activation check into pickups so they would turn on without any player-side input. These function as desired in all online servers running this too (besides yours).

Do me a fav and copy me your UCC from a map where you pick one up.
