Another one by Rough Trade:
A good quality video, but I hate the egoizing some people feel the need to include in their submissions. This one ends annoyingly.

Re: Canadian Rock
Perhaps I should include this video by the Headpins. This may be the one that disappeared earlier, as it is the most played single on the airwaves, usually.

Re: Canadian Rock
She was lovely.
Off subject, Look up "Gentle On My Mind" by Band Perry. The lead singer stole my heart about 9/10's through the video. Great song.
Here you go!

Hey, that song you linked to here is a very nice cover of an old classic that I had forgotten about.Hermskii wrote:She was lovely.

And yes Stevie was gorgeous, and still looks good for a lady of a certain age. (70 years young)
I recall that a certain reviewer used to hate Stevie, and would always say in his reviews that she had "croaked" her way through yet another song. How full of it he was! Her voice had great range!
He later "came out" so one must conclude that he hated her for being something he never could. -A talented and beautiful woman.

Too right! I liked that video a lot. The studio version is great too.Hermskii wrote:Glen Campbell is who first killed this song. He is awesome.
Here's an extended version of Gypsy:
(Some egoizing going on it, but you get more of the cool guitar riffs at the end in return. )
And then there's this awesome live performance:

Re: Canadian Rock
Something changed about that link at YouTube. Makes no sense all the rest of the youtube stuff here still works. Give me the link to the actual video and I'll fix it.

Re: Canadian Rock
In my original post I cannot watch the video because SME or some such, has blocked it due to copyright issues, as I'm in Canada. But if I go to YouTube I can watch the same video from there.
Anyway, here's the URL: https://youtu.be/glStPHUErJU
Hey, there's a period in the middle of the word "youtube". Could that be the problem? And did the forum upgrade do that? Or what???

Re: Canadian Rock
Here is a nice video of Fleetwood Mac's song "Everywhere". It has a cool telling of the story of "The Highwayman" running in the background , which was a poem I read back when I was in school. Ever since I first read that poem around 50 years ago, it has stuck in my mind and would pop up back into my thoughts every once in a while.

Re: Canadian Rock
Everybody left. Does this forum still function? As this thread seems to be abandoned. I though all forums are overcrowded in view of the current home lockdown. Is there anybody alive here. I am looking for some communication. It is terribly boring to be stuck at home for so long. I am from https://worldpostalcode.com/united-stat ... inneapolis. Let me know if you feel like chatting.
