Yep, maybe both of you are right. I will redo this from a clean install and let you know but I'm not going to be able to do anything until Sunday at best. I'm going out of town today and coming back on Sunday. Peace!

OK, I reinstalled the server entirely. I added bonus Packs 1, 3 and 4. I installed the new UTJMH mod and here is what I have now:

There is still "NO" health pick ups in the map.
I thought that shooting bots would take points away but actually I guess I have to kill them for it to happen cause I don't lose points for shooting them.
While having the deemer in amped mod I can now switch between weapons but it takes scrolling through the weapon change button enough times to exceed howmany deemers I have so if I have 3 shots, I need to scroll 4 times to change weapons.
Free health cn and does exceed max health setting still.
I see the antiboost does work I think.

Is it just one map or is it several that are causing no health pickups? Are there any error lines in your logs concerning this?

Yeah the bots only hurt your score on kills. I could add a per-damage if that's something you might like. Perhaps it could do X2 damage to you if you hurt someone else? Might be a little aggravating on busy servers though. Some of the maps are pretty tight. You're going to hit other players almost no-matter-what.

The way the deemers are awarded, it does create a new "slot" and each deemer is slotted as a weapon with a place. I could fix this by limiting them to one? Some people like to save them on the longer maps tho (like Andromeda).

Max health is overwritten by what you put into the ini, even if it is specified by the map. If you want default health, just change the ini. I'll make a nice readme that explains the ini line by line when it's ready to go.

I hope antiboost does work. The only down side is that it's not able to be set by the client. You have to accept the server settings.

Herm thanks so much for your input on this. I really need to figure out what's going on with those health pickups. No one else has reported the trouble, so I wonder if it's a conflict with something local to you.

Open your UnrealTournament.ini file (usually located in C:\UnrealTournament\System), then under the [Engine.GameEngine] section add the following line:

ServerPackages=MutatorName

where MutatorName is the name of the mod/mutator you're using

That's always a good idea Pots, but in this particular case you shouldn't have to. The mod is written to register itself. (Unless of course you are server side)

Would you mind to give a a test run?

OK, I got the server to do the no-health bug Herm is talking about. Instead of fixing it, I'm just going to remove the health reclassing that's causing the trouble. What's happening is the mod reclasses med boxes, nalifruit, and vials so you can change the amount of health they give you. With the mod being able to feed you health at regular intervals anyway there is just no need for this.

I'll remove the pickups stuff and post back. Probably be tomorrow at least.

EDIT- scratch that. As soon as I opened the code I saw the problem. It's fixed and I am sending you the updated file. Checked as working on server now.

There are not but a few maps. It's mostly just to see the mods and for me to see if you can break them :)

To change boost settings in-game type in console:
mutate boost
mutate noboost

Please feel free to try out anything, but don't uncache the mods just yet. If all is well, some final tweaking is all that is needed and I will set up a full download with readme's. Thanks!

Yeah . I only have a few minuntes of clean up on it and it will be a final release. The beta is HERE but I'll finish it up tonight. All the netcode looks good for it.

I've just finished playing on your test server.

I really like the new announcer and the new spree message system that makes harder to achieve the "Godlike" status. The monster HUD is quite small in size but helpful when you have to face super big bad monsters with 1,000,000 hit-points.
Also amplifier, redeemer and health reward messages are less obtrusive than before.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to test the antiboost option because I was the only one on the server and there were no bots.

Now the bad things: some monsters attack each others but I don't think it's related to the mutator, and some weapons suddenly disappeared from my inventory on MH-Trials and I don't know why, maybe when I received the Redeemer bonus or when I picked up those glitched skaar-trooper's weapons but I'm not sure.

Anyway the mutator is quite stable; these are the only ScriptWarnings I've found in my UT.log after playing three maps:

I think you are right. I knew about the one HUD error, but the fix for that requires an adjustment in the MH mod itself. Shrimp classed the HUD out as MonsterHud from the normal ChallengeHud. I'm subclassing it again (the UTJ_HUD) and I really need to do it better than that. My next project is to start working inside the MH mod itself. Once I do that I can directly alter the HUD and save a step in the mod chain and eliminate that error.

Any OL weapon errors are in the monsterhunt mod. Those are the original Unreal weapons brought forward to use in the MH mod. They do cause problems in some maps and that's one thing high on my list to try to address. This part: Botpack.TournamentWeapon.PlaySelect is an error in switching weapons. It's probably map caused. I've noticed the sniper rifle (the old one) really causes problems. I see that was in a lot of your errors.

On the server I have limited the maps to only canyon and pupae pit. This way you can easily try out the killing messages and canyon is an easy map.

The server is down ? Can you put it back up.
