Re: Gopo and the changes
The MHMIV has been changed into a {UMH} Monsterlab Test Server, or something like that, and all root admins are gone. Probably the DM, CTF and JB mods will be removed soon as well, even if I hope they'll not.

I hope not, it is/was a good server!
And I'm also no Game Admin anymore on {UMH2} anymore, and all the others are

Re: Gopo and the changes
Hopefully we'll eventually get our servers back and this dance can come to an end.
I really do like gopo as a person and I can't say this in any way without sounding like a right ungrateful (sheesh, your filter doesn't even allow harmless ones), but when you zoom out of people mode and look at the big picture, it looks bad.
If you view every big change made since the whole UMH thing was first announced, then the two tags seem to get ever more isolated, granted this may have been the whole idea, but it doesn't change the outward appearance.
I know alot of us have admin on the servers, but only some, and if what POTS said is true...
As much as I intend to visit the UMH servers from time to time, if we get some MHM replacements for them then that'll remove all my problems.
As I said, this whole post makes me sound bad, but from my view, if things keep going at this speed and in this direction, who knows what the outcome will be

Re: Gopo and the changes
I'm sorry you feel that way. Change is just a part of life.
I'm not at all wanting to get into an arguement over this. You all are welcome to play on the servers and I will continue to try to better the stuff that I have done. I'm sorry you are angry about the admin status but it nothing more got done than players renaming each other and spamming the center screen with every thought that should be in chat. If you want to discuss juvenile, I wouldn't look too terribly far.
It stings a bit to see all the anger turned towards me. I was trying to do something nice and now I'm being raked for it. I ask you this: How many people offered a few bucks up towards things? None. Now I never asked for a penny but if you have lunch at a friends house every day for a month, it ought to be obvious to you to make at least an offer to help. I would have never taken a dime but no one even offered.
Speaking of that, how many people offered to help me? One. I don't mean "OOO I get the cute little <admin> by my name! (giggle)", I mean spend an evening to learn FTP or to learn how to compress a map or how to check files for anything missing. There are a 1000 simple jobs that anyone could have helped with and ONE PERSON stepped up to do anything (Thank You Supreme).
It's easy to sit in the bleachers and yell at the guys working for doing what you think is wrong. It's quite different, and much more compelling, if you have those same problems and you are actually involved. I really don't think you have the right to critique me like that. What have you done?

Re: Gopo and the changes
Guys please stop arguing, it's silly. The facts are the servers have been changed and the MHM ones are gone forever, just live with it. Maybe if each one of us (yes I put myself into the group) had helped gopo just a little, now probably we weren't here arguing. Just remember how much we have stressed him with the MHMVillage. There are mappers who need years (yes, years!) in order to fully complete and release a map. He finished it almost alone in just one month or so, and it was a huge project. This topic is closed for me, and if I see another harsh message I'm gonna lock it. Period.

Re: Gopo and the changes
Anything that required any fraction of the skill you had was out of the range of nearly everyone here, so unless it was something really simple then we couldn't do much. Besides, even if it was entry-level, it wasn't mentioned enough for us to catch on...
Oh nevermind...
Told you I couldn't say it without me sounding bad for even saying it, I got gopo's quiet, dissapointed-sounding and unbeatable reply, and POTS semi-threatening message

Re: Gopo and the changes
Scify and I played UMH last night and had a great time along with a few unfamiliar players.
One player, Angie, said it was her 1st time there and really enjoyed it.
The only setback was the inability to produce an Instagib rifle. Needless to say, it took 2 players over 30 minutes (yawn) to dispatch a Warlord who had a health value of +150K! ! !
Thanks Gopo for staying in the game. It's changed but not so much.

Re: Gopo and the changes
OK, gopo, help me out here. Post up all of the links again right here so I can join and check it out. I know it is here in the forums here around 3 different times but I'd rather come straight here for it until I sticky the actual info.
~Peace~
