Yes!

Post by Hermskii » Fri Jul 07, 2006 11:12 pm

Exactly! I want a screenshot of you winning a game that has more than 6 players in it and!!!!!!!!!!! I want to know at least 2 of them. I'll give you credit as a 1 on 1 player for sure. You owned me last time you and just I went for it but really, I haven't played UT more than 10 minutes at a time or even in one week in years.

I always want to re-commit to the game and own peeps but life seems to get in the way every time. Kids do that! Still, I want to give you full credit especially with your use of your translocator being that I was once a king in that area myself and you remind me of myself there but have you even learned to win a game with nothing but it against another translocator specialist??? I have many many times. (Toot my own horn!)

So do me this favor instead: Show me a screen shot of you winning a small map against a near house full on my server. Let's say a map like Deck 16 or Fractal or Vidian Tourney. Then, yes then I'll bow down as if I didn't already bow enough just then.

By the way, If you succeed with this task, you will then have reached a point that only a large handful of players already reached several years ago. I 'll drop some names now too. Viruz, (that's eats Mahatma up to even hear the name), Mahatma itself has done it, Hermskii (me), Death Inc., Kind@Bud, Lara Croft, Maximus, Dead Man Walking (on 56k just as Kind@Bud), Bodacious, Skank, Evil Budha, Jester, YourPimp, Brutal Killer, Kidcapri, N6NU and that is just about half of them. Hehehe. TRUE! Now lose your high speed connection, lose your low ping from playing on your own server (which is how I managed this), lose your super great video card and own everyone. Peace Pad-a-won. Don't forget, I want a picture! Muhahahahaha!
~Peace~

True herm, you've reminded me of the same kinda of argument that was posted some years ago about tournaments and the fact that with differences in connections and pings can throw off any hope of fair play or equality unless all the players were in the same room together..............period.! That's what Bo had posted back then about and it still holds true now, put everyone on equal terms and then lets go at it  So we have to all go to Herms and play in his basement , what time do ya want us over Herm? LOL

Later ,

I hear ya Hermmy baby but the problem is I doubt you would recognize any of these new players.
Mainly because all the regulars or should I say use to be regulars or better players or what you thought were better players don't play anymore.
And if they did play we would all be fighting over the same loop and poop spot (spawn kill spot to be exact).
Which doesn't make you a good individual player but a good sprayer. And all those players you mention are sprayers.
I know because I've seen them win in crowds/smaller maps and I've seen them fail in individual matches with me and others.
Definition: Sprayer .......
(noun) someone who fires in all different directions in hopes of hitting something....preference---spawners--(basically someone who is not in the game yet).
And as you know I stray away from maps that get over crowded....mainly because of the luck factor in spraying.
No Hermskii I'll stick with individual challenges (which most people are afraid of) and I'll also stick with people to map ratio size.
Until then send me your Heroes and lets see what they've got.

I can understand that because I don't stay in a map where less than 2 or 3 people are playing... Too boring and too slow gaming for me !
In that case of looooong games, I prefer sniping ! :P
Too much lag ? go fishing...

Well Herm I've been trying to fullfill your request. The problem is your "so called better"
players leave after they know they can't win...or should I say can't beat me.
However....I did take a few screenshots before, during and after on a couple games....lol
No need to embarrass anyone is there?

Question for the masses:
How can a map be boring if all you do is constantly spray in EVERY map?
I see it over and over....they run in a frantic circle spraying at nothing HOPING to hit something.
And when they don't hit anything they cry boring.
True...spraying does win a lot of games but NOT in every map.
Ahh.....maybe that is why they leave?

very dead horse

LOL, I knew that !!!... Nobody is perfect !

I sucked when I started playing sniping and camping, especially on UT2K4 and now, I'm in the top 10 in some servers I know !...
That game, for totally different reasons can be as fun as deemer game (which is still my creazy love... but I need practice since I can't play as often I would like to)...

I press F9 about 8 times for 10 games !... Very pleasant for my ego ! :D :D

Is UT 07 the next step or should I try UT 04 first?

I haven't seen 2007 yet !... But may be 2K4 and 2K7 will be closer than 99 and 2K4 so, it can be useful to start with 2K4...

You go boy! Answer time:

Try UT2004 first. Why because it is out and 2007 isn't.
Another reason will be that your PC won't have enough power to run 2007 as most people won't.

Be warned, the deemer in UT2K4 is very very different than in UT. You'll see.
~Peace~
