No...Don't do it...don't lower yourself to there level.
It's embarrassing, amateurish, panicky and definitely WEAK.

After entering the map and coming back from 6 down to take the lead, now it's gone from "poor sportmanship" to "interesting use of the translocator" followed by that person leaving the map . . . . So am I "poor" or "interesting"

The thing is I don't care about winning or losing, never have. I just like to play the game. That being said it's hard to enjoy playing the game with all the spraying going on. And, it's getting worse. Tonight the spraying was horrible. If two players are going at it in a room then by all means spray away. But to sit up on a cliff or building and just spray everything? Where's the fun or challenge in that?

Mod a reload time? Lose health if you fire too quickly? There are a bunch of ways to address that.

I've heard this statement before and I find it hard to believe.
I think we all have a subconscious motivated behavior to win or achieve and to be better
than the next guy. You see this in everything we do, especially sports and games.
And definitely UT with its scoring, taunts and time limit.
I think at the end of the day we all want to feel like winners.
But I could be wrong.....

Believe what you will. I use the telefrag to let other players know that I can reach out and get them anytime I choose. A good telefrag is worth more than a win. Players have left the game simply because they got telefragged. Most people win a map becasue they "outsprayed" other players hence it really is not a win anyways.

It's sad that some people do spray, especially on the larger maps where spraying
is not an advantage, just a sign of lack of talent.
Just wish people were cunning enough to adjust or develop better skills.
But as for "most people winning because they outsprayed others"...you see that mostly
on smaller maps...where again, you have no choice but to spray.
And it's not so much spraying to kill other players but to kill bots.
That to is a lack of talent.

All it takes to kill a bot is a 3 shot bracket. They spray on maps big and small just blindly hoping to hit anything, be it a bot or a player. My concern is that more and more players are blindly spraying.
