I think it's a comfort thing for most people. They find a map or two that they like and stick with them.MEAT wrote:Killer_Klownz wrote:"I think they call it first love syndrome."
I'll call it Spawn Spot Syndrome. They have a map where they can hide in a little room or a corner and launch redeemers at a spawning point the whole game. It's just not the "noobs" doing it, it's mostly the "regulars". Most players simply cannot play "on the move" in a map. They have to spawn kill or they get pissed/frusterated and leave the map. It's the reason they complain if a map is bigger than 2 ft by 2 ft. For most players it's spawn kill or "spray and pray". Where is the fun in that?
Thats why MEAT has such a big fanclub. He's the best at playing "on the move" (or at least the best I've played so far) and people accuse him of cheating or swear at him etc . . . If MEAT and I play against each other, you'll see us spray but it's a "bracketing or herding spray". No praying involved. Get the opposing player out of their comfort zone with a couple of well placed redeemers, then move in and and kill them. Whether they whip my ass or not, I love playing the skilled players. No better game than that. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of them out there. Personally I love the hunt. Tracking someone down and telefragging or force feeding them a redeemer.
Blitzkrieg (‘the lightning war’ ) name for an offensive operational-level military doctrine which involves an initial bombardment followed by the employment of motorized mobile forces attacking with speed and surprise to prevent an enemy from implementing a coherent defense.
That says it allI see you've been stealing maps from my server again.Killer_Klownz wrote:Have loaded about 25 new maps and expect to add 10 - 15 more in the next couple of weeks.![]()

The only question is why does everybody always play the same 10 - 15 maps?
In turn only being able to play well on those maps. Same is true with technique.
