This all happened rather abruptly so bear with me as the dust settles. This explains the lack of details at the onset.
Gopo has asked me several times to manage a server and I repeatedly declined. I was a broke-joke and didn't want the hassle of being a server manager/admin whateveryoucallit.
Things took a turn for the better for me this past month, jobwise and I'm back and better than I've been in the past few years! When I saw that he was scrapping the whole thing, I stepped in to hopefully keep this thing alive to some degree.
Having worked with Gopo on his test server and having him value my opinions and input made me really appreciate all the little details that went into UMH. It needs to be out there on its own for the UT world to experience. This is why I chose the return of UMH.
While the maps' list remains the same, we changed the Mod to one of the later UMH mods. There is no collision prevention, no deemer-shoot-down protection and a few other "niceties" removed. I think the games need to be a little more challenging but not impossible.
I'll be working to get up-to-speed on the whole thing and start cleaning up and reorganizing but for now, let's just hunt some monsters.
A few things I have noticed,
The DM and IG DM seem to have some weird lag. I have learned that there may be an incompatability with the MH mod. If anyone has any ideas, I'm glad to hear them.
There still are some crap maps: locked throughways, impossible endings and buggy monsters and them goofy silver jets. If you come across these maps, let me know & we'll trash em.
