Can we have a bit more space for our avatars?

10 kb is pretty small. My current avatar at Redeemer Insanity is the same width and height as the one I use here, but because it is all of 40 kb, the animated effect can take place.

I understand certain length and width restrictions, but couldn't overall file size be a bit larger?
Those on 56K can turn off other user's avatars, can't they?

I'll try but the section that ask how big it can be is 4 characters long and I already have it set to 9999 which was the biggest I thought I could set it to. I will try to make it bigger. I'm also trying to figure out how to move this to a different forum. I've seen others do it so Imust be able to somehow.

So I figured out how to move this post into the forum for this topic plus I changed the max avatar size to 300 x 300 and 50,000 bytes max instead of the previous 9,999. It should work for you now Nameless!

Now if we only had one of those *barfing* emoticons, things here would be perfect. I just noticed NR.2000, Tleilaxu, and Derdak2rot discussing how cool the map Long Corridor_C is. That map is so booorrrrrring, and fugly, what with its plain jane textures, and nothing to look at but a long narrow hallway full of monsters that never stop spawning. And they like that over a visually interesting, beautiful map like Arden, or Bluff? I thought I was going to be sick! :pukes:

I just asked them to try to make something like that map but make it better looking and wider. I'd like to see one that is actually tough as far as skill goes. Stuff like take out the snipers, be able to sneak past guards, kill the final security monster, throw the switch/destroy the goal now get back out!

i didnt said i liked that map , its just fun for a little time and i must say i hate the last parts of the map with those 50 skaarj lord shooting you with rockets .

and i agree with you for the plain texturing and archi , its just horrible .
but i think the idea in itself is not really bad , just badly executed .

i just started today a sequel to this map , but not with the same quality , lol ,
and different environements and atmosphere ,you will see !

Once again its fun at times, but like dred said its a rather boring map and to look at the same thing over and over and over you kinda get bored, and sometimes even lost until you find out that a skaarj just started raping you. But if would look nice if someone re did each hallway to a different shade of colour and make it differnt sizes and more intresting nonetheless.

It's summer time, so I want to put back up my little 40 kb avatar, but I cannot.

Since it is smaller than the max allowed size, I must assume that the upload an avatar function of this web site is broken.

I change my avatar twice a year. One is for winter and no riding, and the other is for the summertime.

It isn't me or the size stopping you. Try the othe rway that is offered to load it and see if it works.

Check to see if the file extension is OK to load here!
.jpg or .jpeg - sometimes one or the other doesn't work.
(just a thought as it has happened in other forums)

I've uploaded the avatar from my computer successfully before.

But it still won't work anymore. What other way is there to do it? I don't have a web page to link to.
