There used to be a lot of good sites for ut99 music. Handy for mappers...
...not so much anymore...
There is this one though:
http://www.laernu.com/unrealfiles/Music/index.html
Skip the ones that start with ARC cuz whoever made them used them for selfish promotion, ruining the music.

A few of the maps I've gotten recently have music by Linkin Park, Metallica, & Queensryche.
How do i go about converting .mp3 files into .umx format?

POTS strikes again! This is an awesome example of why database search exist and own everything. I too knew the answer was everywhere and possibly here too. I never cared for this subject so I never paid attention to the original answer being here already. Thanks POTS for finding it and putting this young fella on the right raod to the best answer! You get another gold star and a beer on EvilGrins. LOL!

Yeah, Bulldozer had some good tutorials.
I grabbed a bunch of them - if not all of them, before he shut down.
Some need a bit of editing though due to some bad English at times.

So far the best places I've been able to find music files to edit into maps are the one I mentioned at the start of this thread and this other one here:
http://sektornelsona.no-ip.org:9000/ind ... dir=Music/
Gotta be careful with this. You can only download 1 file at a time. If you try for more...well, let's just say it would be bad.
*ahem*
I've googled without a lot of luck, and checked the other places I usually get ut99 maps & skins & stuff without much luck.

What're some other good sources for .umx files?

If that link is usefull is OK. As I already told and as I usual need to repeat, MY SERVER won't host an invasion. You have a file missing ? Take it from me. Want more files ? BE patient.
That webpage caused some assumed troubles (Internet bots were restricted to dig there), maybe is good another refresh about this chapter

Do not send ever e-mails posting such non-standard adresses or you will be informed about your e-mail as being compromised.

Oh, I'm pretty safe and none of this goes through my email so no worries there.
After my last lil' virus incident I've gotten in the habit of scanning my system daily, sometimes more than once, with multiple anti·viral scanners. So, I'm pretty good there...
...I think.

try to only use one virus scanner at a time (don't do multiple scans with 2 different software) and if possible stick with one period

Yep. having more than one virus scanner on your PC at a time is usually bad.

Well he might mean multiple stand alone virus and spyware scanners such as Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, stinger....etc. You can run these one at a time back to back and get a thorough scan.
....But never have more than one Resident Scanner on a system. Not only will you kill system performance, you are asking for trouble with conflicts and false positives.

I second that. Just use one and only one anti virus with
real-time protection. You can use as many antispyware tools as you want (even if more than two is already overkill IMO), provided they don't have real-time protection, or it is disabled. On-line scanners are free to use as well.
