CTF underground in close quarters

This is an old map from 2003, try as I might I couldn't find any contact info for the original mapper... but I've got feelers out to locate him.

If it is a him, nicknames can be so gender neutral.

This is a mine with tracks on both sides that end in walls. Originally the map had instagibs only as the weapon, but this didn't strike me as the ideal environment for that. I replaced 2 of those with redeemers, rocket launchers for the other pair, plus added miniguns and pulse rifles. Switched up the redeemer to respawn faster than it usually does to boot.

Combat is fairly intense here...

...but there are elements of the map that keep it somewhat well balanced.

Map has 4 mostly transparent barriers, 2 in the middle and 2 others near the flags. You can see them if you look for them but they're easy to miss.

D00d ---- this map is a blast!

This has a lot of action in it... Bot-wise & Map-wise
I took notes on the map layout... Appers at first sight like it is any bland cave

but it has a lot of cover... The rail wagons, the semi-transparent glass is lowkey like hitting my funny bone just to make their shape out with my eyes...
And clutter that I find too welcome, like barrels. I like shooting and stuff no matter if it's not dangerous! But with the barrels out you can maneuver better

So a lot of good things here, not only the panorama is clearly visible even with the cover spots placed on it, evilgrins gave us Deemers to shoot, but he is generous and gave it 60 seconds - my preferred amount toooo when I modify their properties :)

Last thing I wanna add, after the barrels have been shoot out, you still have to watch your step, watch for the railways as they can obstruct you, a shield belt is laying on top of a rock, conveniently shaped so you can dodge on top of it
These geo quirks are what make me love a game, it makes you button mash even without dangers at all times... Now you have Titans to worry about

So far my favorite map, hard to beat, I haven't tried a lot of maps, but this one looks easy to pick up and I recommend it!

Great 6 minutes I had in this match, I'll try another map next 25 years :p << it's a joke considering I spend way tooo much of my time in side-quests related to things in this game - so, I don't consider myself an UT player if all I play is Monster Hunt or any other Total Conversions. If I'm corrected wrong I will feel more than thankful! - I only end up trying this out now!!! I was left homeless at my community so I will pick this up to kill time. It sucks because my friend's server was down for 2 years. I hesitate to do well If I don't have somebody to back up

Again good job evilgrins I can't thank you enough I will come back to give a thanks again!
