I think the short article in this news paper must have been created just to catch the eye and sell a few more papers. The Toronto Star has often been accused by the right wing press of being way over to the far left, but that is not true. They used to be very middle of the road but may have a slightly left of centre slant now, since there are at least 2 and if you count the business newspaper, 3 right wing papers in Toronto. They may simply be targeting those who don't read the other publications by leaning slightly more to the left than they used to do.
But if what is suggested in the article is true; it is quite startling to me.
