Well..........
Crap train does not stop but sure will pick up your............@. We just had a "rain storm", in which we needed the moisture, but then I discovered that there is a leak in my roof above my bedroom. This is not the first time either, but I was hoping the first time that we noticed it, it would be a fluke. Well.....no, no fluke here. It is a different location but along the same seam of the drywall.

I looked in the attic and I did not see where the leak was coming from so I will have to go into deeper debt in getting a roofer to fix the leak.

After I pay my debt, and save up money, I want to get a metal roof. It is supposed to reflect the heat better and last longer than shingles.

Anyways...... I just have to vent before work....... working for the man, working to pay the man, ......working till I can't work no more... and then having the man take everything that I had worked for... God bless the little people...... I am sorry was that sarcasim.... I am going down for that one 8)

This is not much of a vent....value wise but it is a complaint of a (spoiled) customer. I am a customer of Netflix. After a couple people we know had it, we tried it. I could see the benefits and drawbacks from it. For most part it is OK. Every once a while you might get a damaged/scratched DVD but you let them know it is taken care of.

My complaint is that their inventory needs to increase such as how many copies of a movie they have. I have been waiting for "Legion" since it was released in May. I actually placed Legion on my list before it was released and when it was released I was able to put it at the top of the list... It is still at the top of the list but ..... still show long wait.

I would have gone to the video store and get it like I did on another movie, but the only video store in town closed up shop.. Too many Netflix users I guess.

I will try to come next time with a better/worth while vent.

I don't know anything about netflix yet other than I'll be getting it instead of a group of movie channels from my cable provider. I hear that some blue ray DVD players can 1. play regular DVDs in near high-def video and 2. can wireless get movies streamed to them via NetFlix website or something like that. No getting and returning DVDs. Just order them right there on your PC and watch them right then on your TV via the blue tooth DVD player getting the signal from your wireless router I suspect. My only problem is I haven't done it yet so I don't know how. My friends all say it is way easy!

It is easy BUT not all movies are availble for download to your bluray player/computer/TIVO and such. They do have a limited download selection.

Well,... I was leaning towards getting a metal roof, but I am not able to because of the economy and the housing market is down. Due to those factors, my house did not appraise for what it should. It actually appraised less, about $10,000, from when I bought the house and it was trashed. Anyway, maybe it is a good thing. This way I will not be deeper in debt on the home.

I did discover from three different roof contractors that they fell my roof is in good shape and the leaking problem I seem to be having is because of the dorma windows and frame. The "siding" is warped and the windows are protruding and both of those will allow water to get into the attic and then into my room. So a solution was offered by one contractor is to place weather wrap and vinyl siding on the dorma window area. It would protect the edges of the window and cover the warped areas that is allowing water. The siding will cost around $400. Sort of expensive I feel for such a small area, but if it cures the leak, it will be worth the money.

No this is not a vent, but an update......I know..like you care......:P

Well, I was supposed to get Legion on Saturday, or was it Friday......who knows. Well when the mail came, only the address part of the envelope came. The part containing the DVD was ripped away/stolen. So I had to call Netflix and advised them that the DVD was missing.

That Suxx, David.
I was able to rent Legion from a "Red Box" (DVD vending machine).
Very convenient and only $1!!!
So, I ripped it and watched it this weekend.
Pretty good: A battle of Angels & Heaven on earth, etc.

I thought of that, but the Redbox we have here in town did not have it and you can not reserve/request a movie through the interent. Remote (small town) location.

But Netflix states that they will ship another copy and I should get it Tuesday. Finally after 3+ months. OK, now I said that it was be scratched/broken/unreadable or something..lol

MSN.....Microsoft.......
You know, Microsoft has done some good things in the computer age and such, but they are also very annoying. "Give me an example David." Well here is a minor but irratating one. "Bing" or MSN, they want to read a story as below, but to get more information you need to click on the words.
Image
They just can not give you the whoel story you need to click on the highlighted words to get part of the story... By the time you click on all the words, the story is not worth it.

P.S. Biomech I have heard monkey tatse like chicken.. :D

 Why yes I did..Thanks for asking...I can't say if it was worth the wait or not, I am impartial to that right now. It was not a bad movie...it was not the greatest movie either..

My kids computer's hard drive took another dive. How many hard drives on that computer....3 I believe. I got another used computer just in case and swapped out upgrades and it is working fine. The "newer" computer is the same model but it is a smaller form and a little bit faster chip.

Well, I guess I have an extra computer I will store away until it is needed. Just needs a hard drive.

But 3 stupid hard drives.....pieces of junk,
