Directx 10
Has anyone found a way to download and install a working DirectX 10 for XP? I was advised that DirectX 10 is nice, but it was made for Vista.

This one absolutely work but I don't know of you can install him with the way I link it to you.
Here's link:

If that one is not working try this one:

Thank you Hellfire. I did download it on the first address. I was able to install it, even though it was in a different language (I think Russian), but it installed. When I checked dxdiag tool, it stated that I had DirectX 10.
Has anyone been running DirectX 10 and have you seen any benefits?
I understand you need to have a video card that will use DirectX 10 and then games/programs that would use DirectX 10.
Just for information, I do have a DirectX 10 compatible card, I have a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT.

I dont know of there are any benefits.
I think it's just for the newer kind of games or progams.

Well I already downloaded it and installed it. It seemed to do the deed. My computer shows that I have DirectX 10.

I downloaded it from the first link you gave. Even though it seemed to be in Russian, for the installation, I am familiar with what boxes to check for agreeing to the terms and to install. Thank you.
The only thing I did after installing the DirectX 10, I saw that the install placed a website link in the program list in the start list. I clicked on it and made sure it was not needed and then I deleted the link/folder from the start/program list. The item was not placed in the program folder on the C drive, so it was just a shortcut placed to the Russian site for other downloads.
