The DOU server.

Hello!
I finally made it to your forum Herm! Nice place!
This match sounds like a good idea and I think Tommy wouldn't mind if it was set up on on DOU's server.
The problem is that I'm not sure how many we can field. DOU has over 25 members but we are primarily a sniper clan. You all know about LePoloo(Moon), Darkmatter, Pebcak and myself. We also have Toons and maybe Tommy himself. I'll also try to get some of the regulars sniper folk here involved.
I'll talk it over with Tommy and mabye bounce a few dates around. Hopefully we can set up a date and time to work for the European players as well as us Yanks.

No way Nameless. You gotta be on the SRA side.
This may turn out to be a free for all like most of the tourneys that we have had. I just think that having 24 possible slots would be terrific, if a little loopy.

I didn't mention Bison 'cause he's usually doing the family thing on weekends but it would be awesome if he could make it.

Welcome )(er)(es. Glad to have you. i think this is going to be great for everyone and I hope it doesn't stall out. Tell youir peeps all about it and line this up as fast as possible. We need to pre-show too and test the connection to make adjustments if needed. Tell Tommy I use MaxClientRate=4,000 on my server. That should stretch the player load well enough if he has the bandwidth in the first place. This is a win win game lets make it great. I think it should be a 3 hour tour say between 8-11 pm central time on next Friday night. Saturday is Christmas Eve. This Saturday night would be great.

Hmm well 8-11pm kills off the euro players i know i couldnt play between 2-5 am

Even upto 7pm eastern as a roundabout finishing time that would be around 12 here and 1am for polo we usually play up to that time anyway.

Instead of a 3 hour tourney on one evening or afternoon, how about three one-hour parts of the tourney spread over three days(fri, sat, sun)?

Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday evening. Hopefully, everbody who wanted to play could make at least one of the times. And if we would do an arrangement like this, we could do it the first weekend after New Years.

Tommy suggested hosting a monthly tourney but with our involvment with several sniper activities (2 or 3 a week most of the time) I could see hosting something like this quarterly.

The floor is open for debate/suggestions. Let's get this put together.

Come on down Nameless. I am sure we/they would be glad to have ya. Love to see the 'deemer tourney. For me this weekend would be tough. Friday X-mas party, Saturday, family, Sunday, more family. Monday would be good as most people have that as the day off.

I am in.I have 8 day off for Christmas only Because School broad doesn't want to work so I don't work( it three day would have to work if they did)I get 10 holiday day off.Like pebcak said Sat & Sun I go to my sister she has computer but No UT On computer and just DSL. I don't think Vid can UT because don't think it has game card.

I have a HP XE783 with a celeron processor and no game card. I've expanded the ram but otherwise I've been running stock since I got into this game. I also have dsl. IMO, the dsl with the 3 meg connection is every bit as fast as Road Runner. I hope to get job #2 real soon and find a decent system but for now this old rig gets me through.

I'm tired of relaying all of the tourney info back and forth between all the different forums so here is my plan. The tourney is being hosted by DOU Clan. We should track on it at their forum from here on out. I will only post about it there except known results after the tourney will get posted at the House of Hermskii Forum and at www.RedeemerInsanity Forum as well. I have mentioned the time dispairity at RedeemerInsanity but not at Dou Clan's forum. Please cut and paste your concerns there to have them heard. I hope you all get in on this when you can.
