Our bird from yesterday:
We bag cook and the skin sticks to the bag, so thats the chunk missing. I always skin it anyway before serving. That's my daughter. To give you insight into her, you know that scene in LOTR where Eowyn says, [pulling off her helmet] "I am no man!".....That's her. Afraid of nothing or anyone. Gonna have my hands full with her.

To keep the plastic from sticking you need to coat the inside of the bag with a small amount of flour first.ScottyD wrote:We bag cook and the skin sticks to the bag, so thats the chunk missing.
Add turkey, slit the bag and bake.
30 min before the turkey is done, cut open the bag to brown and crisp the outside.

Ya know, it's funny because this year there was a big note on the fridge door that said "Flour the bag this year for once" placed there by my ever-so-supportive spouse.
Not only that, but I left the gizzard bag inside. See that bit of white poking out of the neck? I sure didn't.
I'll hear about that one for a long time.

You said like my older sister. She did samething Many many year ago. She been cooking Thankgiving dinner for 30 years . I still help Her out. One Ladies from my job Ask me first year I work there. Where going to eat. I told her.She said You are going cook. PS Yes You will Hear about it. My sister Bake Fugde.
