UT Benchmarks

Post by Sir Mandrake » Tue Jan 06, 2009 9:30 am

Hey guys, How do you run a time demo in UT classic? I want to see what fps I can get from my setup just for kicks. Ive been playing UT classic for years and I dont think ive ever done this.

Time demo is not really an accurate measure. Most players hit F6 for a little bit occasionally and keep an eye on it. <40ish? Time to upgrade something.

Yeah your right ill just do it that way. I guess I was looking for some way to have UT zip thru a recording and see how quick I could get the system to render everything. In quake2 I ran a time demo and got 507fps on default settings.

Thanks!

Ahh, just realized Hermskii has what Im asking about written in his UT setup manual, so Im all set.

Damn it. I posted something huge and it didn't post. I was saying welcome to Sir Mandrake in the event I had forgotten to when he got here. WELCOME.

Post your results for the timedemo here too please. I need to run the test myself. It has been a while but over all, I prefer 3DMark tests. CYA!
~Peace~

Thanks for the welcome Hermskii. You forum and UT server hosting tips have provided me with some valuable information. Its great to see an active community keeping a great classic game alive.

I will post my results as I get a chance to do it.
My server has been around for about 2 yrs and it needs a revamp as well LOL
