I got my computer parts today for the rebuild !
Ok here's what I bought :
Mobo= Gigabyte S-series ,GA-P35-DS3L -supports dual and quad core intel chipsets
RAM-4 gigs crucial DDR2 PC2 6400
power- coolermaster 500 watt extreme power
CPU- 2.33 intel dual core w/1333 FSB 4 mb cache
Video- BFG 9600 GT OC ! 512MB DDR3
all for under 600

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Really? That is awesome. Did you pull this off by shopping carefully or was it a sale or something. Congrats on the system. I still have my:
single core XP3000 with 512kb cache (not even a meg)
1gb of pc2700 DDR1 ram
on a superfast 333mhz fsb mobo from the year 2000
and a BFG 7800GS 256mb ram (Yes, the vid card is actually very sweet!)

No, not a sale, just a dang kool store !! it was a store called Fry's. My goodness man ! that place was HUGE!! I mean , it was big enuff to hold MEATS ego

!!! now thats big! LMAO

I shopped online and got an idea of what I thought that i could afford/need , and went for it today!
My comp is about 5-6 years old and the ATI 9800 has 1.5 feet in the grave( GPU is fried!) so it was time time time!! for me to rebuild. I can't wait to see how well UT3 runs on the newer stuff!! not to mention 2k4!

PS It's scary how fast the computer tech increases ! whooosh! it's impossible to "keep up" to date and this rig will be good and serviceable and all, but not in any way " current shinizzla "

but hopefully good enuff to storm the gates with and a bit upgradeable too as well !!! hoooza

Funny Chef. With that rig you should be able to attack any game with no issues at all. UT2K3 and UT2K4 will be easy for it. What you want to see is UT3 and how wonderful it will be. It will be good too. Your system smokes mine and mine handles UT3 just fine even though UT3 SUCKS compared to UT.

I just recently bought a new flat LCD samsung 19in. and going to keep the speakers that I have aong with the optical drives, ( DVD and CD burner). ohh and the HD which is tiny in todays standards ( 80 gig) ! LMAO

and the case will be recycled as well. i can't wait till my day off to do the upgrade!

I didn't Get new computer but I got me New 22 wide screen LCD Moniter.
If I get new computer maybe it be laptop . Sometime I have my work done.Sometimes I have to work on Sat so Kiddies doing BasketBall.If I have nothing do because My work done.I have remember take DVD to watch TV set Small in room I barely see it. I would llike Play Ut or DOOM III.

OK, for those who did not read between the lines of my last post...I WAS KIDDING! I was just kidding. Funny how we can write it one way and it can be read another way. Now the cussing thing...I'm not kidding there at all or with any of the rules for that matter. The screen shots of that game look really great. I'll stay here though with good old trusty UT. Thanks!
