LOL
LOL! I haven't done a post like that in a longgggg time. Hahaha. What you say is true but what I say is too. My point being you can please all of the people all of the time but I'll try usually. All I need is a magic number from you or some other folks to set the Mapvote at. My point was also that I have already thought of every single option there is and none please everyone but most options do come close. I'm usually willing to try anything if it is from the people who actually play the server most often! So, (in Darth Vader voice) what is thy bidding....my master?

Master? The last time I was called master I was in Thailand....lol
Master I'm not, but just one of many trying to catch a nut.....if you know what I mean. Can't speak for the masses but why actually do we have mapvote? Never saw the purpose of it. Couldn't we just leave it open so we, the census, could play the same map over and over until we're blue in the face if we wanted too?

I agree with MEAT. A steady diet of Crane and Dark City is just the ticket for an old telefragger like me! lmao.
It's also been quite a while since I practiced hiding in my super duper, double-extra-secret hiding places on top of posts and boxes in Dark City, and seeing how many newbs blow me up anyways.

OK
I'm bored is really the only excuse I have so.........I'm thinking of adding new maps. I've done pretty well with multi file maps on MHM so far so I will try some on CG again for the first time in a couple of years I think. Any Suggestions? Note: Istill have my collection of self-renamed maps all ready to go and will only be using them up front unless ya'll know of some must have maps. Anothe idea I had was to completely remove the current list and only use my massive collection of multifile maps. I was thinking of rotating week to week or whenever I remembered to flip them the map list. Your thoughts?

Now that sounds interesting.
By all means flip the map selection back and forth between the two types. We had a very nice selection of really good multifile maps all picked out for CG at one time.
BTW if you're going to give multi file maps a try again, how about using the map I recently sent you, DM-Gravadyne 7 some time? It has lots of files!
*edit* In this thread you will find a list of maps that Chico uses on his Instagib-with-monsters styled DM server. I have noticed that most of them would be excellent for Redeemer Arena. You're already running some of them, and Schwantz used to run many more. Others are new to redeemering, but could prove to be fun to play in.

Re: OK
I'm ok with any rotating maps (weekly or monthly as you want). Or without any regular delay : as you like. I love the idea of new maps.Hermskii wrote:I'm bored is really the only excuse I have so.........I'm thinking of adding new maps. Otherwise Herm, if you have some maps you'd like to see on line but you don't want to install in your redirects, let Tommy know I'm sure he'll be ok to change maps too (the only thing is to know the map's names !)
Too much lag ? go fishing...

Great
Thanks folks. Good info. Nameless, I beat you to it man...that map is already there being...
I dug up my original list of what I determined to be good Multi-File maps and installed all 38 of them to CG last night. I then got real cute and pulled the entire original list of maps that have been cycling on the server for the last 2-3 years out and stored them seperately. Now I can flip between the sets with out to much trouble meaning it takes about an hour to do.
I expected to wake up and find the server stuck on a bad file or something but it seems to be working OK so far. Some of these maps are reallly great and should bring back many good memories to many. I'm still nervous about getting them mixed up with my single file map collection but if I do, I can always start over.
If you know of a must have map, send it to me. Your thoughts?
