Well i cant believe nobody started a thread about this.

I just saw it .
I thought this was a FAR BETTER JOKER!!!!!!
Also the best batman movie yet , continuing in a good tradition with the second best batman film "Batman Begins" same director.

Batman was lacking on the masculine side , but made up for with the motor cycle and the personal attitude at the end of the movie.

Stale popcorn and a sense that the world is a dark and dangerous place to fight crime.

Heath Ledger was awesome...I kept wanting more JOKER.

It is a damn shame he is dead.
I so yearn to see him ranting inside Arkham asylum during some short scene in the next movie.


The joker is so much more realistic without all the showboating Nickleson did.
Although The scene when Jack pulls out that really long gun out of his purple pants is so classic.
The Old ones have a place in my heart.
Don't get me wrong , I love Tim Burton but man these two new batman movies kick the old ones ass.

How The FAQ? can they kill Dent off ? He is supposed to get into so much more trouble as 2face? I feel cheated.

I saw it with Matrix and some other family members. They liked it. I hated it. Heath did do a good job but I thought they really steered away from the idea of what the Joker was supposed to be. I prefer a little more realism in movies unless they are Sci-Fi movies. This one just went over the edge to me in improbability. So again I say, I hated it. Damn myself for paying to see another Batman movie! This is what...6 now? I haven't really liked any but I did think the last one before this one was off to a great start and then they mucked it up in the last 30 minutes badly. That one batgirl was ok too only because that chic was so hot. CYA!

I agree it wasn't the greatest movie of all time.
....30 min to long
....one to many plots
....but visually entertaining
But come on Mr. Hermskii....you hated a movie based on a fictional cartoon character because it wasn't realistic?

Compared to all the other cartoonish theme movies this was one of the better ones I think.

I Loved Heath as the Joker!
In fact, ALL of the Jokers are great in their own right.
And the movie was good but I agree with MEAT - about 30 mins too long.
I also Liked the Batman Begins movie just a bit better than Dark Night.
It seemed much more focussed and in the true tradition of the Batman stories, and what Batman is all about.

Mind you , "What Batman is all about"
If you ever read the comics and graphic novels then you know these last two movies are right on point.

The inner conflict "to kill the villains or turn them in. - To die a hero or become something else"

Also the new joker is the joker from the graphic novels. Much more realistic IMHO.

Yeah you're probably right - they'll bring Batman back up out of his depression in the next one I suppose!

Oh, yeah I know but I was referring to his wanting to quit being Batman at the end of Dark Night.
Kind of depressing to me.
I liked the first movie when he was all full of piss n vinegar!
