I would recommend HIGHLY to download this http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security ... fault.aspx run a full system scan, this is free and what I use daily but without the porn addiction (your main problem, just saying) but anyways run the scan and if you want I can Teamview or use remote assistance to help you. What EXACT version of windows are you using? What are your system SPecs too?

Using IE8 as your main browser is like drinking hydrochloric acid to cure dyspepsia. That ain't bad luck, is self-harming.

1) I've got Chrome now. It's not bad.

2) I do not have a porn addiction. I just like it.

That is part of the Microsoft Security Essentials. Have you looked at it vs other antivirus and malware programs? It scores awfully. The microsoft security solutions are always the worst ones IMHO.

So you have a broken IE8.... Two windows installations melded together using bits of IE7 to function.... so you switch to chrome.

You still have system problems that should be addressed. Chrome is just a band-aid to your problem here.

I would say you almost should just back up your stuff you want to keep and reload windows.... start with a clean slate.

I know right, at least go to the streaming ones ( not going to name them) but at least they won't be downloading anything to your PC.

From one of his earlier posts, I believe hes running XP that was set up by a friend.
He doesnt have any restore media or any original Windows install media. So if you have him do anything in a way of removing windows components to reinstall...hes going to be in trouble.

WEll what I am saying is that I can get him windows 7 Ultimate 64x but if his specs are not up to par then it isn't going to work, I just ftp it to him(it is a legal copy yes Enterprise edition) Then he can run the ISO. I have several copies.
