Someone make me an avatar?

They are linked, aside from the avatars (and those can be linked too).

Personally I abhor them, they just clutter things up. After I've seen it the first time, I just visually skip it anyway but it makes the threads three times as long.

Signature text blocks are mostly ok, but signature images....pass.

Usually I would think the answer is yes but now these days there are too many free places like fileshack so I'd say no as my final answer. I think it also depends on how much space you try to use.
