You'll want to make sure that no dimension of your Avatar exceeds 200 meaning it must be smaller than 200 by 200 or it won't load as you m,ay have noticed.

The server! I think I remember you explaining how it works before but I didn't read through or pay close enough attention to remember. Post the link to your explanation. I'd like to see this mod.

Sounds like it's the same mod that use to be used in COOP that Mr. Loathsome had one time on his server & on another one I went to before. You get in the server with a monster nickname & you get to be that monster! Mind you some maps had small rooms, so being a huge beast won't always work out to get around well enough (ie: a Warlord, although you also get the stuff they shoot too!).
