Bloody Penguin Game

Post by David » Thu Nov 27, 2008 1:05 pm

I think I have posted this before, but I am unsure and since my threads of the past are no longer (no big deal), I can post it again.

The flash game Bloody Penguin. http://www.logan.ws/games/bloody-penguin.asp There are other sites with the same game, but...here is the one I used this morning.

What is your best score? Show me your proof. As an example, here is my score so far from a couple attempts.

And no photo editing to edit the numbers. As this.

Good Job POTS. I thought my score (real score) was good, but yours is better. I have tried several times and your score still stands.

Thanks :D
The trick is trying to land on the first three mines in a row. Well actually it requires a good deal of luck... but this is another story.

I modded mine out. Won't go very far, but the *THUD* of the hit is pretty satisfying:

BTW, this may stray a little off the topic but if you want to check if a picture is faked, here's a good way (though not foolproof, but most people don't know how to do this):

Download this hex editor:
http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/f ... /xvi32.htm

It's free. Just create a folder and extract the files to it. There is no installation.

Now run XVI32.exe in that folder. You'll see a box pop up. Now click File>Open and then the picture you aren't sure about. A bunch of lines will pop up looking like this:

Image

See where my cursor is on the right in blue? Read the lines, then look farther down the block of letters :) . This is David's second picture from his first post. A doctored pic will have this entry in the first few lines as most people don't know how to strip the references. I've outed a lot of people with this method so use at your own risk.

Just thought you might get a kick out of it. Download my submitted pic from last post and see if it's doctored

That is pretty cool. I did not know that. Thanks. I did use Adobe PhotoDeluxe to trim the picture and then I used Microsoft Paint to edit the number (In the second photo).

POTS, look like K "cut ahead" of you in score. Come on POTS, you could beat K  .

Doesnt that show that it was saved with photo shop?

Where in the HEX code does it say the distance he flew?

I use Photoshop to crop the pics so it would show in mine also but mine is not fake.

K, look at yours with the hex editor and you'll not see a photoshop entry. Without a big long explanation of why, unless you directly edit pixels in some manner, it generally won't tag it. Resizing doesn't alter the picture that way. Pixels can be discarded by sizing, but they do not change. Kinda understand?

This isn't foolproof by any chalk, but it's fun to check pictures you think are suspect.
