Actually, no it isn't. It would be the opposite or "zero". If you can tell me why, then you really win.

There are two possibilities IMO:

1- He performs a super strong hit that defeats the force of gravity, but this is virtually impossible, since we need space shuttles and very powerful rockets to leave Earth's atmosphere.

2- Earth's circumference at the Equator is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 km) so his hit covers the whole distance and the penguin's head returns back to the starting point which means it is "de facto" at point zero.

Ok I'm probably wrong I give up...

You win! Number two is the correct answer given that the world is round. The maximum distance would be a return to zero, or circumference. Height is not an issue as it is not measured in this game so even a trip into space as you so eloquently put it still won't increase distance in relation to the ground covered.

The actual distance=C but the flag would state "Zero". Nice job!
